HI Girls,
Well it’s late where you are, but I’ll go ahead & tell ya about myself for those don’t know me yet.
I’m in my 60’s, retired/disabled. I live in Oregon, a long way from all of you. I’ve lived here all my life. I was born in Portland, where I reside at the moment. I grew up
in a small town & lived down there most of my life. We didn’t live on a farm, but was outside the city limits. When I see produce labeled “organic”, I laugh, cuz I grew
up with a father who always put in a large garden every year. We just went out the back door to the garden. And yes, we ate straight out of the garden. We also drank
water from the hose. And I’m STILL alive to tell the story.
I guess that’s where I get my love of flowers & gardening. I used to have pots of roses, about 50 different varieties, but with moving & I’m unable to take care of them,
I had to let them go. I used to plant all annuals, petunias, marigolds (mosquitos HATE them!!!), geraniums, and anything that struck my fancy. So, since I had to give up the real
flowers, I now have a florist shop full of artificial flowers. Allergy free, no water, no dead heading, lol.
I have a kitty cat, Jewell. She’s a rescue kitty, she’s a senior, yrs old. She’s getting groomed tomorrow (don’t tell her tho). She’s Persian/Himalayan & is SPOILD Rotten!!!!
I collect Thomas Kinkade art. I have several of his paintings. (not the oils). I love his cottage paintings. I could envision myself walking into many of his pictures. I love old
Victorian homes, too.
I’ve been a quacker since the late 90s. That’s when I discovered QVC, QF, & Thomas Kinkade. I don’t get as much as I used to. Since I’m on a fixed income now, I have to
be selective. Usually several easy pays is the only way I can do it. They’ve had several tops I’d love to have, kitties, flowers, sets of 2.
Oh, I’m single, so I don’t have kids or grand kids (makes sense) lol. Just my fur baby.
Right now it’s soggy out here. Lots of rain coming in. We broke all records for rainfall in Dec. & Jan. Feb. was the warmest on record. Go figure. There was some flooding
in Dec., but hopefully there won’t be anymore. We were right behind Ca. as far as drought goes last year. It was the hottest/driest summers on record last year. We’ve made up
for it now. We could’ve used that snow you guys got last yr & some of this yr!!
I live about 90 minutes from the Oregon coast, & about 2 hrs from the ski resorts on Mt. Hood. I don’t ski, but I LOVE the beach!!!! If I could I’d live on a tropical island somewhere.
I don’t travel anymore, so it’s only in my dreams. sigh.
Well, now that I’ve bored all of you to death I’ll sign off for now.
Have a great Sunday & I’ll talk to ya tomorrow. Lord Willing.
