      Angel’s Banana Nut Bread

      INGREDIENTS:

      ¾ cup sugar
      ½ cup butter or margarine softened
      2 eggs
      1 cup mashed ripe bananas (3)
      ½ cup milk
      1 tsp. vanilla
      2 cups flour
      ½ cup chopped nuts (I use walnuts)
      1 tsp. baking soda
      1 tsp. salt

      DIRECTIONS:

      -Heat oven to 350 degrees. 

      -Grease bottom only of 9×5 inch loaf pan. 

      -In large bowl, beat sugar & butter until light & fluffy. 

      -Beat in eggs and Blend in bananas, milk and vanilla.

      -Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. 

      -In small bowl, combine nuts, baking soda & salt.  Mix well. 

      -Add dry ingredients to banana mixture; stir until moistened. 

      -Pour into pan. 

      Bake 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 

      -Cool in pan 5 minutes.

      **If desired, add some milk chocolate chips to the batter & spread more on top before baking.  I prefer Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips.
