      Nancy Furr’s Pecan Pie

      INGREDIENTS:

        1 stick butter
        1 cup dark brown sugar packed
        1 cup light corn syrup
        3 eggs beaten
        1/3 t. salt
        1 cup chopped pecans
        2 T. dark rum
        1 9″ unbaked pie shell

      INSTRUCTIONS:

      1) Preheat oven to 350F

      2) Melt butter, mix in sugar & corn syrup until sugar dissolves.

      3) Cool slightly before adding eggs. Mix well with eggs.

      4) Stir in pecans & rum.

      5) Pour into pie shell and bake 1 hour.
