    Hi Dianne
Oh, nothing is in bloom up here….LOL Just the white fluff all over the state. So far, we are up to 4 inches right now, and climbing. You would think it was February. I hope it melts as fast as yesterday’s snow.
I love the reruns of the Golden Girls the most. We watch them every Saturday morning. Gary loves Columbo, and Perry Mason.
I hope the rain stops for you, and you get some more sun. The rain is so depressing.
do you watch the Chew? Colleen, Gail and I love that show. DWTS is on tonight- who are voting for to go home?

    Hi colleen
I am glad you get to see Aliza today. I be she grew a whole inch since you last saw her. They grow so fast when they are Itty Bitty’s. Sad that the visit will be at a funeral.
Tillie’s shoes will be here this afternoon.
So far, we have about 4 inches of snow form today’s storm. It is going to snow until late tonight. I cannot believe what I am looking at. I hope this melts fast, like yesterday.
I have the Chew on- nothing of great interest yet. I had to record it, as one of GAry’s peeps were here, so I am a little beind on time.
You are so lucky the branch did not fall on Ron’s truck. There were a couple fo people uo this way who died, when trees fell on cars- 3, so far. It is awful when that happens. I hope the wind stopped at your place.
DWTS is on tonight. I wonder who will be gone. I vote for the cranky tall girl. We will see….LOL

We will all be thinking of you at the funeral today. Our prayers are with you, and your family. these things are so difficult. I feel so bad for your grandson. It is so hard for children to process, and move on.
Our prayers are with you today.
    Love,

    Hi Barbara
That cake sounds great. To “josh” it up, you could do fresh strawberries on the top of your chocolate frosting. I found out a new way to glaze them for half the time and effort. You get either strawberry or raspberry jam and bring it to a boil- then dunk in the strawberries, and put them on a rack to cool them.
Since you had such a good time with that little boy, can you imagine how much joy you will have with your own Itty Bitty? You cannot imagine the feeling of love with a grandchild. It is si hard to explain. When I first saw Steph, I swear, I loved her more than her mother….LOL
I did not realize hubby’s Mom is the same age as Tillie. They deserve a party. I am not telling Tillie until 2 weeks before the party, or she will work herself into a dither. We are keeping it small, as she gets very anxious around a lot of people. Family, Marissa’s boyfriend’s family (who were here on Easter), and a couple of my friends who have known her forever. Steph made favors for everyone, and some chair cover for her- not sure if I said that before, or not. God help our aging brains…LOL
I think we have a Shriners Hospital here too- not sure how close it is. They do wonderful work. They are Angels. It sounds like your hospital is the original one. Do you know how many there are across the country?
It is so wonderful to hear form you again!
Watching the snow right now. It will not end until tonight. I cannot believe what I am seeing.
Hope you are having good weather!!!!

    Hi Gail
So, it sounds like if you found a small lake house, that had just enough room for the kids to “camp” in the living room while everyone was there, it may work. A big house would be way too much work, and I totally agree. It would be an expensive place to park the boat. But, if everyone used it, it would be good.
This aging affects what we want to do, as we have the time to do it. It stinks.
I know what you mean about the house feeling too big. Who wants to clean space you do not use, when we have our limitations. It is a tough call.
Piper is quite the character. I tell you, she is going to be an actress some day. She may win an Oscar. I hope we will all be alive to see it.
You are right. Tillie loves her slippers, and says she is uncomfortable when she is in the recliner in the brace. She does not want to put it off and on all day long.
It is snowing here again, and they did not call school off. I think they made a huge mistake today.

    Hi Dianne
We did not get a blizzard. They called it blizzard conditions, due to the high winds. We were lucky, as we only got a small amount of the winds. Cape Cod got blasted with winds. there are a lot of people up here with no electricity. I am happy we are not one of them!
I hope your state is having good weather, and you can go out and enjoy the spring. We have one more day of snow- tomorrow. I hope it is not too bad….LOL

    Hi colleen
Tillie’s birthday is May 8th. I got the same tops se wanted- as soon as she knew I got them, she did. I bet whatever I wear to her party, she will have on. She did that for Rissy’s graduation , and the last time we went to the hairdresser. It is becoming a joke around here.
Jhonny is still with the Post Office. he is going to get drenched tomorrow. On Sunday, they deliver packages, and he works form 10 to end of package delivery- whenever they are done. He has only one day off, and sometimes it is either Tuesday or Wednesday. He is not permanent yet. But, a lot of the guys who started with him, either got fired, or quit. It is not an easy job, but he loves it. We are all hoping he will get a permanent position. he is a good worker, and never complains, so I hope he has a good shot.
The snow we got last night, is melting. More on the way starting at 3am, lasting until 8pm, is the last I heard. It will melt fast this time of year.
Tillie’s new shoes- New Balance will be here tomorrow. I hope the ones I picked will work. I have to get ones that have Velcro for her. She has been being good the last few days, and wearing her brace.
Gary is doing good. The shoulder is healing, with little pain, and the legs are getting a lot better too. I hope he can get that miserable sling off soon. He still spends half the night in his chair, as he cnanto sleep in the bed for long.
Hope your weather is good, and it comes here fast!!!!
How is Aliza doing? How about your Mom?

    Hello Barbara!!!
it was so nice to see your post. We were all worried about you.
I am so sorry to hear about your fall. Even though you did not do any damage, I am sure it was traumatic to sit there and have to wait for your son to come help you. Thank God you did have your phone. It is sad when the universe makes us realize we are older citizens, and have to take precautions. Cell phones do have a good purpose in our lives. I am sure I do not speak for myself in saying we are all so very happy to hear from you, and know you are ok.
How nice that Sarah’s pregnancy is now showing. It makes the coming of the first grandchild a lot more real, when you can see the evidence. I bet you are all thrilled to see the developments, and the pictures of the ultrasounds. They are so much more developed than the ones I saw for the girls, 19 to 26 years ago. It is good she is having a problem free pregnancy. You will miss them for sure. Especially when the baby is born.
Jerry is a good son, and great husband. He is taking such good care of his Mom, and I know she must be thrilled to be able to stay in her home for now. He must be tired form all the running around.
So happy to have you back with us. We have a new Quacker- Dianne. She loves to decorate, just like the rest of us. She has the prettiest kitty!
We are good over here. Gary is recovering from the shoulder surgery, and Tillie is dealing with having to wear her foot brace every day. Tillie will be 90 in May, and we are taking the family and a couple of friends to Bertucci’s- Tillie’s favorite restaurant for a little celebration. Steph is making centerpieces, and a decoration for her chair. I am ordering her favorite flowers for the room- roses, and a corsage for her wrist…..even though I was painfully reminded at Marissa’s graduation that a corsage is very 1960’s.
Hope your weather is good. Ours is quite weird. Snow and high winds today. We didnto get too much snow- about 4 inches- more on tap for tomorrow, though.

    Hey Gail!
those kids are so funny. I can see Piper with the shirts on her head now. Kendall gets up-staged at every turn by her little sister. They are such fun, and you must absolutely adore them.
I love the stories we all share about our grands, and pets. It is like sitting and having coffee with each other.
Tillie’s new tops came, that I am getting her for her birthday. She wanted the ones I got, of course, so she can wear the same thing I am in….LOL the pretty flowered tank, with the cardigan over it. She wanted the blue and pink ones. She is just too funny.
I ordered her new sneakers in a size larger, so she can try them to see how they fit. I hope they work for her.
I hope you get good weather, so it will come here. The next 2 days are going to be awful.
Are you planning on getting another house, or just looking? I love to see what décor others use, and get ideas.
    Have a good one!
    Adele
