Hi Gail
Oh yes, the baking will begin tomorrow night. the first thing I have to do, is cut up all the cold cuts for the Pizzaghiena. That gets done early Friday morning. Also on Friday are the ricotta pies, and Greek Twisty cookies. Saturday are the mini cheesecakes, Anise cookies, and Madeleine’s.
After the Chew is done, I will Swiffer the floors. I have my little cleaning schedule to keep….LOL
I know what you mean. I was surprised Steph liked the teapot- sent her a pic before I got it, as she does the minimalist thing too. (it is a lot cuter in person) What is up with that??
Gary’s legs are getting better. the one leg is still wrapped, and the nurse comes every other day to change it. Home health still doing the showers with him, and OT the exercises. Once the woud on the legs is healed, I think a lot will stop coming.
It is gloomy here today. Hope your sun is shining.
AdeleHi Dianne
I think Geraldo may be gone too. Either him, or Doug Flutie. I actually called Tillie downstairs to chuckle about how bad they were. Geraldo may get the elderly vote to carry him a few more rounds.
I got my Temptations strawberry deep baking pie dish, and platter today- love them!!! I will use the tray for my chocolate edible centerpiece. Of course I will take a pic of it for you.
Google Department 56. You can get some real good pieces, cheaper on Ebay. We have a Dollar Tree, Walmart and Kmart. Kmart is a difficult parking lot, so I never go there. We have the Christmas Tree Shops here- you would love them- great stuff, cheap. Google them- they have internet ordering. Love your pretty decorations.
I knew you would love the royal blue color- it is the prettiest ever. Love, love, love that color, in all the tops, and bottoms. My all time favorite Quacker color, besides the tangerine/melon shades.
So glad you are getting a break from the pouring rain.
We got 4 inches of snow. It is melting fast, as it is a lot warmer than deep in the winter time, so that is good.
that was one funny story about your package getting delivered to the maintenance- what nice guys to get that up to you quickly, before you cried. I would have cried, if I could not find my goodies!! the Q is great. Had you not found your package, they would have sent another. But, if it was on waitlist, you would have been in a mess. My size always ends up on waitlist.
Hope your night is going well. Going to shut the laptop, and get in my recliner for the night.
AdeleHi Gail
I could not believe my ears this morning. I hope they get them, fast. I have the news on now, to see if there is any news on captures. It has been so busy here today, I have not seen a whole news show yet- hope to see this one. These evil things( cannot call them human) need to be stopped.
It is great that you have that theatre near you. The North Shore Theatre is about 30 minutes away form us, but, they do not get the big broadways shows. Their Christmas Carol one is hugely popular, due to the actor who plays Scrooge. He is fabulous. But, he is getting old too, and I am not sure he will be able to continue too much longer. He has to be near 70 now.
I agree with you, if kids get a liking for theatre, it is wonderful. Nothing on video can ever compare to live theatre.
I saw DWTS last night, and called Tillie downstairs a few times to chuckle- one was Jeraldo. he may get the elderly vote….LOL Then, when Doug Flutie came on, he was even worst. One of the 2 of them will probably go next week.
Great idea of Greg’s to put that statue up. I hope the crazy bird doe snot figure out it is not real.
Adele
PS….sun is shining!!!Hi Gail
That is probably why I thought it was Fitz and Floyd. It is so adorable. The eyes look almost real. Steph is going to love it.
Are you going to get one for Jenny?
AdeleHi Gail
it is so nice when a man has well rounded interests. It makes for such nice places to go. Back in the day, when I lived in Boston, I used to attend a play, once a month. One summer I even went to the Ballet monthly with 3 girlfriends, and Heather. When the girls were little, we went to the Nutcracker every year. After I married Gary, we switched it to A Christmas Carol, which is at the North Shore Theatre every year, with the entire family, even Bobby. We went the week before Christmas, and did brunch that day before the play. I loved going to that. When Gary ended up in a wheelchair, for the first time, we stopped going. Good times. I am hoping we can resurrect the play, so JJ can go. If not, send Jhonny and Steph with him.
What a shame that guy is gone. t sounds like he did a lot of nice concerts for people. You and Greg have a lot f of talented friends. That makes social events more entertaining. None of my friends can do any musical or acting things. We would get boo’d out of the place!
Our snow is melting fast. they just said it will get colder tonight-yuck.
Hope your weather is good. I am waiting for the meatloaf to be done. Simple tonight- baked potato, and green beans.
AdeleHey Gail
The Easter plan sounds great to me. Fun, and not too much crazy work. You have the best plan between all of us, so far.
We got about 4 inches of snow. It is warmer, so it will melt fast.
So sorry about your friend. His passing will be a loss for many people, especially the Choirboys. How is Greg doing with his friend’s loss?
Look on Amazon for the teapot. I am pretty sure that is where I got it. Somehow I thought it was Fitz and Floyd, but, I looked on the bottom of it, and it is not Fitz and Floyd….LOL I am losing it, girls.
St joseph day is a big Italian thing, but since all my old Italian relatives are gone, we have not done anything with it for a while. In Gloucester, they do a lot around that day- a parade with St Joseph, and the St Jospeh pastries- St Jospeh Zeppoli’s- not sure of spelling.
it is so nice that Greg likes concerts, the theatre, and music. It gives you such interesting places to go. Gary’s only interest is TV, and food. the only play I ever got him to go to, was Phantom of the opera, when it was running on Boston. He was so disinterested, that I gave up. His only comment was that he saw a couple of guys in Bermuda shorts, and he didn’t have to get all dressed up. I donto know why I let that man continue living….LOL
AdeleHey Gail
Martha will be coming to your house to check for butterfly dishes….LOL
Hey- look on the Fitz and Floyd site on line. Then, put in owl teapot. It is an adorable owl teapot, with a butterfly on the top. I got one for Steph, and one for me, of course. If it is not on the Fitz and Floyd site, check Amazon. I honestly do not remember which place I got it. I may have done Amazon, for the better price. The teapot is in Steph’s Easter bag. She is going to love it.
look at my other post, for a pic of Tillie’s new haircut.
the dinner was corned beef. I cannot believe you do not do it in your area. I thought it was a tradition on St Pat’s day, no matter what your nationality. Maybe it is a Boston thing.
you will love the Penzeys site. Sue is right- they always send you a little sample of something- I forgot about that.
I never heard of being pinched if you do not wear green. I would sometimes annoy my fellow workers by wearing Italian orange….LOL
Hope your night is good.
Adele….waiting for the snow. -
