Hi Gail,
It is strange that this keeps happening. I hope that they get if fixed soon. It is happening to all of us now. That is really aggravating and it is hard to remember to write all that you wrote the first time. I just heard that Prince died.He was only 57. Ron thinks that he died from complications from the flu. Will have to wait and hear.
it is weird that they both have the same middle name. Ron and Jerry must be close to the same age. That does not matter really. It is just a strange thing that they have the same name. They are also junk collectors. The only thing that Jerry has that Ron doesn’t is a railroad car. Which Ron would get if he knew where to get one. He gets more junk then a person has a right to have. He watches American Pickers and he is like a lot of those guys, The only thing is his junk does not come in the house. That is where the line is drawn. He does have a few toys in here but the toys do not bother me. The grand kids play with them when he is not watching. he does not care that much though.
The chairs are old metal chairs. One has a clam shell back to it and the other has a design on it. They both have arm rests on them and they are the skinny ones. These are not hard to get in and out of. They are a straight back. They are really comfortable. That was one good thing that he brought home.
Your basement sounds really nice. It is like an apartment. That is really nice. I can see why Brent was comfortable down there. it was a nice place for him to stay. He can also have food down there that he likes to snack on. It is just really nice.
It is nice to have left overs. Sure is nice not to have to cook every night. Ron’s family still picks mushrooms it is you just hear about so many people that get sick from them. Ron probably knows what he is doing but sometimes I am not sure. lol

You are back to baking again. You always make me hungry whenever you talk about what you are baking. That is nice that Bobby wants a different cake this time around. The other one took you so long to fix. Do you still have people coming in to take care of Gary? if they are gone you will be able to bake for Gary in the morning again. It will be nice to have your house to yourselves again.
We all need to go eat at Gails house. She has been doing a lot of cooking and it all sounds good. Makes me ashamed of my soup that we had for dinner tonight. I need to get some inspiration from you and Gail.
Pork chops are hard to cook. They dry out really easy. We usually put cream of mushroom soup on them and add onions and dress them up a little so they do not dry out. That is the only way that Ron will eat them. We usually have pork steaks. They are a lot more moist and usually taste good.
I am not as sore as I was. We do bruise easier and pain lasts longer then it did when we were younger. It is not a fun thing to get older. It is better then the alternative. It seems like time goes a lot faster now also. There is just to much time in a day. I guess when we had our kids at home time went slower because we had a lot to do with them. Now we do not have as much to do.
The sun is shinning here. Glad to hear that you have sunshine also. I think that the warmer weather is finally here. It is nice to have the sun out.

I am not sure what they called those chairs. I will have to ask Ron or my mom to see. I just remember that my grandma had some and they are really nice. I have not seen them around since then but maybe they made more. Do you know if they started making them again? You are our research person.
That is good news that the water did not do any damage to Greg’s musical things. That would have been a mess. It is not too bad if all the damage is to the floor and not any of the furniture down there. You caught it right away also and got it cleaned up. The cork flooring sounds nice and the way to go in the basement. I cannot imagine all the work that you and Greg have been doing trying to get that cleaned up.It is a good thing that Brent was not staying down there. Was he staying in the basement? It just seems like that is where he was staying. That was nice that you had a place for him to stay where he could have his privacy but still have you and Greg right there if he needed you.
You have been cooking holiday food. You must be in a festive mood. Your dinners sound great. Wish we would have all known we could have come and joined you for dinner. My meal was pretty boring. I made a pasta with broccoli with Italian dressing on it. It was the low fat and that is really boring. We still have some sweet potatoes that we got from QVC may have to fix that this week-end. I am sticking to the diabetic diet during the week and eating what I want on the week-ends. Probably blows the whole thing for the week. Oh well.
Do you have any plans for the week-end? Usually when it gets to be this time of the year they have more concerts there. I cannot wait until they can start having the concerts in the park again. We are not sure if they are going to still have them at our park here are not. We have to wait and see what they decide. It would be nice if they would. You have better concerts there then we do here though. None of the people that play in the parks here are known by anyone.

I did not get the article about the goats. Maybe it did not go thru. Unless it went in my junk mail. I usually do not look thru that I just delete. If you send it again I will look in both mail boxes. We get so much in the junk mail that it is not worth looking at.
I like both sets of dishes. So I am not help at all. What color scheme do you have in your kitchen? That would be one way of figuring out which one that you want. Unless you kitchen is like mine and it is just a mixture of all different things. I am not good with decorating rooms. My house just has that lived in look.lol
I have been thanking the Lord ever since they called and gave me the results of the ultra sounds. I have had that lesion for a couple of years and now it is gone. I am just so grateful that it is gone and no more worries. Prayers really do help.
it rained here today and is supposed to rain again tomorrow. It is nothing like what they got in Texas here either. I feel for those people. I have not heard if it is still raining there or not. My daughter and her family are in Texas but not where it is raining. I just hope they plan their route before coming home. They have to be back on Sunday. So we have been praying that the flood will not affect the highways. Our weather has been warm here also. It did cool down a little today but will go back up when the rain stops.
I love the Thomas Kinkade picture. He was such a good artist. We lost a very talented person when he passed away. Did you ever see the movie about him? It comes on here at Christmas time on Hall Mark.

Franklin is Ron’s middle name also. It is a family name that has been passed down for awhile. I do not know who the first one was but it is Ron’s middle name, his dad’s and his grandpas. That is funny because that is such an unusual name for now. You very seldom hear of anyone with that as a middle name. I do not know if Franklin was just a middle name that they passed on or if their was an original Franklin. I will have to ask Ron.
I am with you Barbara find a good hotel or motel with air and inside bathroom and I am there. There is not way that I am sleeping in a tent in a sleeping bag. For one thing I would not be able to get up from that unless they put some type of furniture in there for me to pull up on. The ones that serve a breakfast are the best ones to go to. Now that is living.
We got Amanda’s name from a country western song. I cannot remember who sang it. We use to sing it to her and she would get so mad at us. So she always wanted to be called Mandy. Then Barry Manilow came out with the song Mandy. She just could not win. She did not like that song either.
Ron’s mom use to grow it in her veggie garden. We have never planted it ourselves. Ron would be the only one to eat it. He use to go out and pick wild polk salad. We would not eat that either. I was not sure of what he was picking and did not want to take a chance eating it. His sister told him one time that he could eat the stalks and it made him so sick he never ate it again. He does what ever his sisters tell him. They also pick wild mushrooms. I do not eat them either. I am not sure of them and not brave enough to eat them. I have lived in town all my life and we got all of our food from the grocery store. You read so much about being careful of the mushrooms that you eat because some are poisones. I am just a chicken.
I am watching what I eat again. Went back on the diabetic diet again. That is the most boring food that a person can eat. Thought if I eat that during the week then on the week-ends I can eat what I want. That should last about a week.lol

My girls got the names for their kids from a baby book of names. There are two of them that have my middle name as there middle name. So that is about it. My kids got their names from family and from different places. We got Danyielle’s name from a commercial, Amanda was named after a song and Melissa was named after my aunt. Now my oldest daughter has my mom’s middle name and Amanda has my oldest sisters name for a middle name and Melissa was named after my Aunt Irene. She was my favorite aunt. She was so nice to all of us and we always had a good time at her house. She died when I was really young.
I know what you mean about the high humidity. It is miserable during the summer and it is nice to just stay in the air. I think that it is worse where you are though then it is here. It is pretty close though. We had some rain today but not as bad as Texas.
Ron and Jerry could be brothers. They like the same things. You are right with the book that you chose. Historical things would keep their interest not romance. Ron is still collecting junk. Has Jerry picked up anything lately? Ron has been buying junk trucks lately. He bought two trucks and made it into one. He was driving me crazy while doing that. I do not think that he will ever quit. He now has a friend that is a junk collector also. It is a mess when they get together. He is constantly bringing things home from that guy. He did bring a couple of lawn chairs the other day that were in pretty good shape. They were the old type that our grandparents use to have. They were in really good shape they just needed to be painted. So he got them painted and they look really good. Almost like new.
A lot of the sugar free Popsicles are good. I like the ones that are made from all fruit. They have a really good taste to them. They also make some sugar free drum sticks that are good also. You would not know that they are sugar free. We have been finding a lot of things that are just as good as things with sugar.
That is so sad about Joey and Lisa. They really need to figure this out. Jerry gave him some good advise and he is going to have to make the break even though Lisa does not act like she wants to. It is not good to live with someone that you do not love in that way. All anyone can do is pray for them and hope that they figure it out for themselves. At the age all of our kids are they will do things their way and do not listen to us as much. I guess at one time they have to do that. They have to do things on their own. You and Jerry are such good parents it is nice that you are there for both of your boys anytime that they need you.They know that.

I hope that you get the remote figured out soon. I would have to have the guy that installed it stay here for a few days to teach me how to use it. Anything technical really throws me off. I can really mess things up with that. So Ron is the one who figures that out for us.
The Marathon bombing was really scary. It was really bad that they had to chase them to finally catch them. I cannot imagine how scary that was knowing that they were running around in your neighborhood. I hope that they young man that they have in custody does not get away with it. He deserves to go to the electric chair. I do not care what anyone says. he was not a poor innocent kid that they tried to make him out to be. I cannot watch the new shots of it anymore. They are just too sad.
That was weird last night on DWTS. Max use to be the professional that really thought that Len was too hard on him and the others. They use to get into arguments and last night he took his side on just about every dance. I really hope that they do not have him back to judge again. The scores were so low last night and the dancers deserved better. It would be nice if they just stopped that switch night and did something else. It is hard on the dancers when they have to two dances in a night. That is too hard and they get so tired out. I do like the Disney night though. That is fun.
Now the meal that you are having sounds like a good meal. I wish that I could talk the kids into doing that. They are determined to have it at my oldest daughters house. So that is what we will do. Do not want to tell them what to do so that is that. I have not idea what they will be cooking but it will be interesting. She makes healthy food and she does some strange things. I usually tastes good. For Thanks-giving one year she cooked herbs in the turkey and no dressing. The turkey was okay but after that the other girls said that we should have it at my house. So that is what we are doing. It was funny they did not tell her they called me and told me that they to have it at my house. Guess they did not want to hurt her feelings. We did not say anything either.
I am still sore but feel much better after they called me with the results. Well that is about all from here. Have a good night.

They never mentioned that the ribs were broken or cracked. They said that they were just bruised. So I guess that if you bruise your ribs that can cause it also. I had never heard of it but maybe the doctor will explain it better when I got to see her. Ron was even impressed that she got back to me that quickly. She is going to be a good doctor.
That was different that Max was giving so many low scores. he even made comments that he would get mad at Len for making. I wonder what happened to him. I agree about the switch dance. There is no point to the whole thing. They do not learn a whole lot about the dancers. I hope that they do not do it next season. I like that guy that is deaf also. He just amazes me and how well he does dancing. That was weird last night when they gave him his points for his dance. I do not know what the problem was and how it all got mixed up. It did not seem to bother him though he still got a good score.
Tom had his picture taken with the NRA and she kept bringing that up and making all kinds of rude comments. It was some type of ad for tv I think. She was just really rude to him. He told her it was just a commercial and that was it but she would not drop it. There are a lot of people that like to go shooting. They go hunting or target practice and different things like that. She has a right to her opinion but so des he and it would have been better if she would have dropped. She lost a lot of viewers after that and that is when they cancelled her show. She did finally apologize. It did not do any good though. Her show was gone. I think that she just had a break down and she has never come back from that.
I am glad that you have heard from Brent. We heard from Melissa yesterday. They are in Texas at Steve’s dads house. She said that they are not near any of the flooding so they are okay. I hope that they come home as soon as it is safe to travel. We told them they better check with the highway patrol and find out what highways are open and plan their trip home by that. I think that he has to be back on base by Sunday. So hope they can make it back in time.
At least you could get the rug up off the floor. That must have been a mess. I do like the shop vacs though they really do a good job. Hope that you can get everything back together soon.

Well the doctors office called me this evening that told me that I did not have a mass on the kidney. It is gone now and the prayers are what helped. Thank you again. Maybe that is why she was pressing so hard she could not find the mass this time. Thank God.
