Hi Adele,
That is funny that she wears the same tops as you do for everything. That is a form of flattery though. She thinks that you have good taste. My mom does not wear all the sparkle and shine that I wear. She wants one top like mine but they do not have the color like mine in her size. So she wants the light pink. She will look good in it. I will get that for her for Mothers day. I think that if she ever wears the sparkle and shine she will really like it. She needs to sparkle sometimes. She is wearing dream jeannes though.
I am glad that Johnny likes the job. i hope that they hire him on permanent soon. That is terrible that they are making him wait for so long. He does a good job and they need guys in the post office like that. It would be nice if he knew so he could be sure of where he will be working and not just waiting to see.
I am glad that the snow melted right away. You did not need a lot of snow on the ground again. Hope that the snow will not be bad enough to get Johnny soaked. That would make his day miserable. We had strong winds around here last night and it blew a limb off a tree close to the house. It just missed Ron’s truck. That would have been a mess if it would have wrecked his truck. It is the one that he drives all the time.
I keep forgetting to tell you about the butternut squash that Daphne made the other day on the Chew. She was making a dish that was healthier the mac and cheese. She use butternut squash and pureed it to put over the macaroni. It looked really good. She said that it was a kid friendly dish. She did put some cheese in it but cannot remember what type. I am going to try it and see what it taste like. Will let you know after we try it.
I hope that she likes the shoes and will wear the brace more with these shoes. Sounds like Gary is on the mend and will be done with that sling soon and then maybe the rest of it. He will be able to do things for himself again. That must be hard on him since he is use to working all the time. He will be glad to get back to work.

I agree with you on having two houses to keep up with. That is really a pain to keep up with one. That is not how I would picture my retirement. We do not have a boat though and do not go to the river that often anymore. We use to float and have a good time doing that but I got to where I could not get off the raft and that was not fun. So we quit going. Ron did go with the girls for awhile but they have not done that for awhile. They have their families to do things with.
I do not like wearing the back brace.It is not as much trouble to wear like the braces you and Tillie wear. It is just extra weight to carry around and I would rather just wear my outfit and not worry about putting that brace on. It also wrinkles my tops and makes then look bad. I am just a whiner though.lol
It is nice not to have to move at this point. The house is the way we want it and we do not have a lot of up keep on the house right now. The yard does take a lot of work thats because Ron keeps cutting down more of the trees and giving him more land to have to mow. If he was smart he would have just left it alone and just had that smaller amount to mow. You know men they are never happy with the way things are. I say that we have little maintenance in the house but that is not exactly true. We need to tare the carpet off the floor in the bathrooms. We need to get some new carpets in the rest of the house. Ron does not agree with me but we do talk about it. He even bought the tile for the bathroom to make me happy. It is still in the box under the bed. I am going to call his nephew that lays tile and see what he would charge me to put it down. He also does carpet. So he may become my new best friend.
I am hoping that tomorrow will not be too cold. I am going to have to wear sandals with my dress to the funeral. This thing is going to be different. They cremated him already. So tomorrow they will have his ashes and some pictures of him sitting around. Then the minister will say a few things and say some prayers and that will be it. It will be different. They are having the dinner at the house and so we will probably come home after the visitation. We will stop and get a sandwich on the way home. That is going to be a lot of work for her with all the people being there. That is the way she wanted to do it though so it was her decision. I just feel really bad for her. She is younger then we are and she was younger then her husband. She still is working. This is going to be hard.
I am not sure what play this was. They have to do things on the cheap side because the school does not have enough money to do to anything big. This one about a boy that dies and comes back to let everyone know that he did not commit suicide. Kylie played a mean kid and did not have a very big part. Not like in the other plays. They have a new teacher and this one does not like Kylie as much as the old drama teacher did. That is how it is sometimes though.
I finally got the mess cleaned up on my e-mail. So it is usable again. I do not know how many people they sent that stuff to. Just thought I would let you girls know.

Yes they do change the page without warning. I stay confused.lol I finally found the birthdays and got them done for today and yesterday. I do not know why they have to keep changing things. It takes me forever to find things again after they change. Do they not realize we are old and not as up on things as they are.lol
I really like the temptation that you put on here. Is that a set that you have? It is really pretty. I only have the one set and it is a orange color. It is really old. It does come in handy sometimes. It is really nice for casseroles and things like that. Wish I would have gotten a set with the lids. Do they even do that anymore.
We had lobster tails the other night. They had them on sale for $4.99 a tail. They were really good too. You just have to drop them in boiling water and they are done in 5 to 6 minutes. I hope that I can get back there to get more of them. We had them with baked potato. It was a lot cheaper then what we can get them cooked at Red Lobster. If I lived by the ocean I would be out catching my own. We would eat them all the time.
Why is it that the things that you really want they do not put on easy pay or not enough easy pay so you can buy it. Now if you want a camera they probably will have that on six easy pays. They do that on computers also. We have been taking more pictures now then we use to. Ron gave me a camera for Christmas this year. I just forget to take it with me though when we go places.
Well that is about all from here. We are not getting any of the snow that the other girls are getting. Those poor girls get a lot of snow. Especially Adele and Sue. Gail gets her fair share but I do not think as much as the other two do.

Sounds like you had a nice fashion show with the kids. Kendall picked out some nice things and they go together. She is really good at shopping. She does good for her age. Poor Piper. She is going to be a nudist for a long time.lol Her fashion was one of a kind. She picked some strange places to wear her socks and under pants on her hands. She definitely has a style of her own.lol She is so funny.
Have fun looking at houses. It is fun to look at all the different styles and decorations. Are these model homes are ones that people live in? We use to do that to find some colors to put together. Have a good time looking. It was a good idea to put Rocky at the babysitters or dog sitters. He will feel better and so will you. It is so hard when they get older like that and you do not want them to be alone. Especially since he looks for you. He may try to go up stairs.
That is surprising that the guy did not think that a woman would cry when she found out what the brace looked like. I figure there are some men that get upset also. It takes awhile to get use to that stuff. You did really well not crying in his office. You can wear your sandals still though. I wonder if her injury was worse then yours was and she has to wear it all the time. You just have to figure these things out. You may not be able to wear a high heel again but that is not too bad. There are a lot of people that cannot wear a heel anymore. We all just take things differently.
We went to the grocery sore the other day and they had lobster tails on sale for $4.99 a tail. We bought two of them to see what they were like and they were very good. I would like to go back and get more but I imagine that they are all gone by now. That was such a good sale. Have you ever seen that commercial where they have all those lobsters and clams that they boiled and they just dump them on the table and everyone just starts eating. Now that is one place I would love to be. Can you imagine living close to the water where catch all of that. You could have it fresh whenever you wanted. That is making my mouth water.
The birthday party was a surprise for Joe. He walked and we all sang Happy Birthday. The look on his face was priceless. They got a lot of pictures of him when he came in. It was funny. Ruth had to tell him all kinds of stuff to keep him from finding out what was going on. I had to threaten Ron to keep his mouth shut. It all just worked out really good. They had some good food also. A bunch of the ladies brought different food to help Ruth out.
We did not make it to the play. Ron is not feeling good and I did not go because no one else from the family was going. So I did not want to go by myself. We have gone to her other plays so she should not be too upset with us.

I have been doing the birthdays and now I cannot find them at all. I have looked all over the place for them. I wrote to Tiago and asked him to help me find them again. He should know where he hid them. I do not know why they did not let this site alone. There are too many of us that have a hard finding things the way it is.lol
When is Tillies birthday? She will be excited to get her new tops. I have not ordered anything for awhile. I still have a lot of easy pay going on and need to get it paid. I just hope they do not show another top that I cannot live without. They had a pair of Ryka sandals that I really want but am not going to buy them. I keep telling myself that. We will see how long that lasts. Did you buy anything new for yourself?
I hope that the new shoes work out for Tillie. She will get use to the brace soon. If she ever wears it and finds that she is more comfortable in it she will want to wear it. That has to be hard on her to walk on the side of her feet. You would think that it would hurt. Does she walk like that in all her shoes? I guess if she is use to it, it does not hurt anymore. It is hard to get our mom’s to listen to us.
I cannot believe that you are getting more snow. Wow I hope that it is not as bad as they are saying. Is Johnny still working for the post office? Hope if you get the snow he will not have to walk a route and deliver mail. That is a cold and wet job. Did he get hired permanently yet? I sure hope that he has. He seems to really like the job.

It is so good to hear from you. We were getting a little worried. I am glad that you are okay. It was a good thing that you had your phone when you fell. It is hard to think that you cannot go outside and walk where you want to. I have to take my cane with me. It helps me to keep my balance if I start to fall. I am just clumsy so that is my fault. I need to be more careful.
Our new baby is here. She is a little girl name is Aliza. She is really cute. Cannot wait for you to have your new grand daughter. You are going to just fall in love with the baby the minute you see him or her. Do they know yet what the baby is going to be? Just have fun spoiling her or him.
That is nice that Jerry is doing so much for him mom. Your sons will do that for you two also. They do try to be there for the two of you now. They have always been there for you. It is hard to take care of a mom like that. My mom mostly depends on my brother. He is the only boy and her is still her baby. So she has him do most everything. Which is fine with me. My one sister and I go there when she needs us and to visit but not for anything to do with her banking or her medicare. He takes care of all of that. Thank the Lord. It would have been nice if Jerry’s mom would have let Jerry take care of things from the beginning. She has learned a hard lesson.
It is hard when the kids move home and then move out again. It is like the empty nest syndrome all over again. We have gone thru it a few times. Now it has been awhile since they have moved in. We are hoping that they do not for a long time if ever. You miss having them around and seeing the kids all the time. So do not feel bad about feeling a little hurt. We all do. You will get use to it again and be happy.

ColleenWhat is going on with this new front page. I cannot find anything. The birthdays are gone, cannot find my page or anything else. I hope they fix this soon. This is aggravating. We just get this site figured out and they change things again. We better hang on to each others e-mail addresses or we will not be able to get in contact with each other. I am really confused as to why they are doing this. If you are having better luck then I am please let me know how you are getting thru.

They are having the visitation for him on Monday and the funeral is at the same time. That will make a long day for all of them. I guess his wife just wants it over. She has been going thru so much for so long she must be tired. I just hope that Ethan will be okay with all of this. She is keeping out of school for a couple of days. I am not sure that is the right thing to do or not. He may have been better off with his friends for the day. It is hard to know what the best thing to do is.
It is cooler here today then it was yesterday. I am not sure what the weather will be for the rest of the week. I hope that it is not bad on Monday. That will be a mess if it is. We sure do not need rain.
I think that any doctor would be better then that last one I had. He was not very good at all. Well he did not work out for me. Maybe someone else he does really good with. I hope so because he had to go thru school. I wonder how he ranked in his class. I hope it was not last but it seems like that is where he was.
The pictures that you posted on here are really cute. I love the picture of the flowers. I cannot wait for all the flowers to bloom. It is a little scary for all the things that are blooming around here right now. If we get really cold weather it will kill the flowers and hurt some of the trees. All of the pear trees are blooming and had such pretty white flowers but now they are falling off and they are not looking good. Usually after the flowers come off they are really pretty and green. I hope that this is not a bad sign. Our red buds are blooming also. It is early for them. This crazy weather.
We are supposed to go to a surprise birthday party and a play tomorrow. This should be interesting. I hope that they are not both at the same time. The party is for one of our friends so if we do not come it would be bad and if we do not make it to the play that will be bad also. We sit her for weeks with nothing to do and then everything happens at once.
