Well here we are at the end of another month. Wow where does the time go?? Seems the months fly by faster & faster all the time.
So, Adele, how many customers do you have? Why not get one of those 72 piece sets of Cheryl’s cookies & split them up, or however many sets you’ll need. Go to your local Dollar store & get some of their holiday boxes they have & put the cookies in them? And/or a 6 lb tin of Harry London chocolates, & put a few of them in with the cookies. Just a suggestion. Or since you love to bake, make your own cookies, brownies, etc. & put them in those boxes I
told ya about. I used to bake batches & batches of chocolate chip cookies for the crew I worked with at HP back in the day. Since I didn’t have a family to
bake for they were my outlet. I’d make shortbread cookies & would include them. Just a suggestion. If I was closer, I could help ya out. I love to bake, even tho I don’t have a family to cook or bake for.

Colleen, we were wondering why we hadn’t heard from ya on here. I hope you’re feeling better real soon. I hope it wasn’t food poisoning. Seems kinda early for the flu. We’re into early fall right now. Temps down into the 60s today. But it sounds like it’ll warm up for the holiday weekend. I’ll start taking down my summer things, & putting up the fall stuff pretty soon. It’s gonna take me longer with this sciatica. It’s been really bad this week.
I saw a lot of things on QF this week that I wanted for the fall season. I think I have something for every season except fall.

Did I tell you ladies we lost one of our residents this week? He was a sweet guy. He had cancer & it finally took him. He’d been doing chemo for
quite sometime. When we had that vision clinic here that time he was just ahead of me so when I was done with each station, he’d be just coming out of the station ahead of me. He’s say Hi, beautiful, & I jokingly said You really do need glasses don’t ya? He laughed. It’s sad he died alone. they think he
passed in his sleep. Someone became concerned when they hadn’t seen him for a few days. They called in the authorities, & found him.

I’m sorry to hear about your sil, Barbara. Sending prayers for her.
Well, we’ll be into a new month, don’t believe it!!

Hi Ladies,
So how many of you bought out QF yesterday? I know I wanted several things for fall, but I have to win the lottery first. For that matter, we all
need to so we can buy out QF!!! lol
Well, it looks & feels like early fall out here. We’ve turned the corner for heat. I think & hope we’ve seen the last of the 90s for the yr. We’ll still have
80s, but not any higher. The nights are down into the low 60s/upper 50s. Sure feels good to have cool nights.

Thank you for all the b/day greetings for Jewell. she’s doing what she does best, napping. lol
I’m gonna start decorating for fall Labor day weekend. I’ll take pics of it when I get it done. With my sciatica it could take awhile. I have to take down
summer/tropical stuff first.

Last night I had the strangest thing happen with my computer. I was gonna send out a post, but when I tried to log on to the internet I got this weird
popup on the screen. It read “Class not registered”. I never saw that before. So I clicked onto the HP Help icon. It showed some operations I had no
idea whaat they meant. I let it do it’s thing. When it got done I went back & tried again but no go, so I just shut it down for the night. I got up this AM
& turned on the computer. It went straight to the internet after I signed in. Go figure. All I can figure out is that after I shut it down it continued to fix
the problem. Computers baffle me!!!!

I thought I was gonna have to get another one from the Q. I’ve had this one for 5 yrs, I think. I first had a Dell. It lasted me several yrs. They do have
great deals on computers. You couldn’t get in stores. And easy pays are great too.

well I guess that’s all for now.
I hope you all enjoy your new outfits.. I loved all of the tops, & the TSV!!!

Well, I guess you’ve seen the new QF TSV already. I have half an hour to go. I must apologize. I misunderstood about the emails. I get emails from
QF & QVC all the time.
Adele, was that TV movie on Hallmark a western? Did it star Jon Voight & James Caan?? I saw previews for a western, but didn’t watch it. I forgot.
They’ll show it again, I’m sure.

Oh, by the way, Jewell turned 12 on Sat. She celebrated by sleeping most of the day, as usual. lol
Our weather has returned to normal now. We could see rain showers by the end of the week. Good to clear out the air!!
We need the rain right now.

The heat is over out here, hooooooooray!!! By this time next week we should be having showers & 30 degrees cooler. Can’t wait. we need the

Today is Jewells birthday. I forgot, but her vet sent b/d greeting by email this morning.

Hi Ladies,
Adele, I hope your husband will be feeling better real soon. Saying prayers for all of you.
It’s another hot day here today. Another one tomorrow then it cools back to normal over the weekend, & more early fall like next week.

My neighbor didn’t have surgery on her broken hip. Turns out she has fluid in her lung & they had to take care of that. Then they found
cancer, so they’re doing radiation on that now. From the sounds of it I don’t believe she’ll be back any time soon if at all. She’s a heavy smoker,
the kind you roll yourself, so there’s no filter. As a former caregiver, I dealt with a lot of different ailments of the elderly, so I can pretty much
see when somebody’s gonna make it or not.
This bldg. was once designated for 55 & over & the disabled, but the gov. said that was discrimination, so now they have to take in anyone.
I wish it was still 55 +, we wouldn’t have all these druggies living here. There would be a lot less trouble.

That earthquake was horrible. I saw an 8 yr old rescued alive from the rubble. But so many died. Was anyone affected by those tornadoes last
night? I saw a bldg. flattened like a pancake. Makes me glad I live out here. I’m more terrified of them than earthquakes. I’ve been thru a couple
rumblings, but nothing like Italy.

Yesssss, I’m back. Twice in one night, what’s wrong with me???Lol
Say I meant to ask about those peppers you were talking about earlier. I’ve never heard of the ghost peppers. What are they? Did you know to remove the seeds to avoid the heat of them? David explained that on ITKWD one time. He said to remove the vein ? & the seeds if you don’t want the bite.

Colleen, take your sides, still frozen, and remove them from the tinfoil pan & place them in a 11×7 Temptations baker, & bake according to the directions. I had them a couple yrs ago. Very simple. And delicious!!!
I’m sending along some pics of the Oregon coast. Also the new Harvest set of Temptations dinnerware. They don’t show the inside of the bowls, tho. It’s the inside of the bowls that set it off!!! Breathtaking, at least I think so.

Nice day here. OMG!! Have any of you gotten an email from Temp-tations featuring the new fall dinnerware sets? They’re Harvest & Pumpkin Patch.
The Harvest is GORGEOUSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! If I had a family & was planning to have a family gathering for Thanksgiving, I’d be right on it. I already have the Rose set from earlier this yr. I don’t need another set of dishes!! She’s coming out with so much beauuuuutiful stuff, I could easily go broke.
Sigh.
I agree with you about having a plus size model on the Q. The closest one is the blonde girl, Jackie. Not to be confused with the host, Jacque. And I think we’re all a bit tired of seeing the same things week in & week out. I know I am. It could’ve been due to the Olympics, but it does seem they’re showing the same stuff for weeks now. With the holidays coming up it’ll be a lot of Christmas stuff. Thurs. is all holiday, all day. Just the one day, tho. They’re having a 3 hr Gourmet Holiday segment in the late afternoon ET.

I got some bad news today. One of my neighbors fell during the night, breaking her hip. She’s in the hospital, due to have surgery tomorrow. She won’t be back for quite awhile. They’ll put her into a rehab place before she’ll come home. She’s not in very good health, so it could be she’ll end up in an assisted living place.

Hi Ladies,
It’s another cool day here. Whew!!!! Sure feels good after all that heat. We’re supposed to get another 2-3 days of 90s later in the week, but from
there on it’s back to more normal temps. More like early fall temps, which is fine by us!!!

I live in a high rise apt bldg so Jewell couldn’t get too far away. And most of the residents do have small dogs or cats here. One lady down the hall from
me has birds. When her door is open you can hear them chirping. Most of the pets here are service animals. Mostly companion pets.

Adele, we get those storms every once in awhile in the winter months. Out here they call em “microbursts” where wind knocks down a lot of trees, &
stuff goes flying. Very rarely does a funnel cloud ever hit ground & if it does, it’s an F0 or F1, causing minor damage compared to what happens out
there. I’d be terrified too if I heard a tornado warning in the middle of the night. We have earthquakes to deal with.
Portland sits right on top of a fault. Similar to the San Andreas fault in the San Fransisco Bay area. I guess there’s all sorts of things ya have to deal with
no matter where you live.

I wish my friend Critt was on a trip, vacation, or something pleasant. He’s the one who was in the hospital for an infection in his knee. He still has it, & they won’t do surgery because it would contaminate the new knee. It’s good to have him back.
Oh by the way Jewell, aka Precious is one & the same. Critt heard me call her Precious once so now he calls her that. For those who don’t know shes my Himalyan cat.

PS: I’ve ordered meat from the Q & they send it overnight in dry ice & I’ve never gotten any of it thawed out. It comes in a Styrofoam container, too. Thick Styrofoam.

Hi Ladies,
Praise God!! The heatwave is OVER!!! It was <20 degrees cooler today. I was actually able to do something around the house. It’ll get hot again by next weekend, but not nearly as hot as it has been.
I just had the strangest thing show up on my computer. I got on here & there was a bar asking for my name & email address. It said it was required. And below that it had a square you had to check. It said I’m not a robot. So I did. then I went to the Be Social site & clicked on sign in. When I did that I came back to this page, & it was back to normal. I don’t remember that showing up before. Weird!!
Well the Olympics are over now. I have the closing ceremonies on, but not paying a whole lot of attention to it. Can’t get into it this time around.
I couldn’t even stay awake for the opening ceremonies. I was able to see the US delegation walk in, only because they were close to the beginning of
the march of the countries.
There was a barbeque here today. It was put on by the Beth Israel congregation across the street. A lot of people showed up which was good. I took a hamburger to Kay. She wasn’t up to going down.
Yes, I know all about the Temp-tations web site. I’d like the butter dish & shakers in Pumpkin Patch or Harvest before they sell out. Something small. I don’t need anymore bakers or bowls. I don’t really need those things either for that matter. Lol.

Oh, last night I opened the door to see if I could get a cross breeze to get some of that heat in the bedroom out & it worked. The temp dropped by 3 degrees in just a few minutes. In the meantime, Jewell decided to go for a walk down the hallway. By the time I realized she was out, she’d gone down the hall to Kay’s apt & was sniffing around her door. I went down & knocked on her door & told her someone wanted to say hi. Kay got a kick out of that.
Our friend , Critt, is home now. He stopped by after he ate at the barbeque today. He wanted to see “Precious” cuz he hadn’t seen her in quite some time. then we went down to Kay’s so he could visit with her.
Colleen, you’re right about the Q being boring lately. A lot of makeup, jewelry, clothing that’s out of my range, etc. There will be a holiday show this Thursday. All day they’ll have holiday décor, etc. I’ll look forward to that.
