Hi Ladies,
It was another GORGEOUS day today. It’s supposed to last thru the weekend, I HOPE!!! I don’t mean to rub it in, if it sounds that way. We’ve had such a wet winter it’s nice to
say the sun’s out & is warm for a change. I was on my FB page earlier & I saw a post from the Weather Channel that says more cold weather, snow is in the forecast for the
Mid West & Northeast, the first week of April. My jaw dropped. Maybe it’ll help with those fires you talk about.

I’m pretty tired from my big day today. We did have lunch at my favorite restaurant. McGrath’s Fish House. I discovered it several yrs ago where I was living before I
moved up here. It took me awhile to find one up here. They just sent me an email advertising their latest specials. This time it’s endless prawns, which are my favorite!!
Before we got there though, we drove the back roads instead of the freeways. I got to see country side I either had never seen before or hadn’t been to in several yrs. We have
some gorgeous scenery when ya get out of the city. Right now there are so many shades of green you can’t believe it. And with the mountains with their beautiful blanket of
snow against the blue sky is a picture postcard.

Hi Ladies,
We had a GLORIOUS day today. And the rest of the week looks even better!!! We could end up in the low to mid 70s by the weekend. No rain in sight for now!!!
Hooooooray!!!

I’m going out to an outlet mall south of here with a couple of friends tomorrow. It’ll be good to get out of here & in the sun for awhile. Don’t have any $$$ but that’s
okay. So what else is new.
Did you guys watch DWTS last night. I figured Geraldo would go first. That was a no brainer.
I see Denim & co has a TSV on the Q tonight. It looks like shorts. I won’t be getting any.
I’m not taking down my decorations yet. Easter, to me, was a week early. It just didn’t seem like Easter to me. Besides it takes me so long to get it all up, I hate taking
it down right away.
Oh, Jewell was sure active this morning. She was jumping on the bed, on me & I looked at the clock, it was 7 AM!!! It had to be the sun!!! So I get up after awhile, & what
does she do?? Goes back to bed. I took a nap this afternoon. what a character!!!

Well, that’s all I have for now.

Oh, wait. Have any of you seen the model, Corrin on QF lately? I haven’t seen her for awhile now. Did I miss something?

Hi Ladies,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, that the weather co operated. I had a wonderful day. I took all my stuff down to Kay’s & cooked it there. It was easier that way.
We had a great time. I enjoyed the food & conversation. I’m glad I did it. She won’t be here much longer.

I did have some cable issues. The box I had died. It’s been acting up for awhile now. But it steadily got worse. I’d change the channel & it’d go berserk!!! Turns out it wasn’t
picking up the signals. So they had to send out a technician. He gave me a new, smaller box & it’s nice to be able to change the channel without seeing a blank or snowy
screen. Seems like I had that big box for ages!!! It’s strange to look over at the TV & see a much smaller box instead of that big thing.
The weather co-operated, sort of. Sat. was nice so the kids could have their Easter egg hunts all around town. It wasn’t too bad today. We had spotty showers & downpours in’
different parts of town. But all we got here were a few showers. It wasn’t as bad as they were predicting. I thought it was gonna be a sogggggy day all over. But the sun is coming
back. Mid week we’re gonna be in the upper 60s/low 70s. Maybe warmer later on. I’ll believe it when I see it.

I took Jewell to get her rabies shot & checkup. She’s in good shape except for her teeth. They want to extract a couple but do you know what they charge?? Waaaaayyy more
than I can afford. Almost $2,000!!!! I almost passed out!!!

Did any of you catch QF Sunday night? I get a kick out of Albany. She’s just herself, a hoot. Again, they had some tops I’d love to get, but they always have them on when I can’t afford to, even
on easy pay. At the end of the month. Story of my life. Probably yours too.

Happy Easter Ladies,
Hi. How’s everybody doing? I hope you’re all ready for the Easter festivities. I’m gonna fix dinner for Kay & myself. I’m having the Mama Mancini’s meatballs. ( I tried em. I couldn’t hold out till Sunday). Scalloped potatoes, and asparagus(roasted in the oven). the meatballs are REALLY GOOD!!! Of course I saw they had another variety with cheese in the middle on Gourmet Holiday earlier this week.
For those who don’t know, my neighbor down the hall has COPD & can’t get around as good as she used to. So, I’m fixing dinner for the 2 of us.

For a while I couldn’t figure out who Tom was until you mentioned Blue Bloods. Then I knew it was Tom Selleck. Don’t you guys have any stations that show reruns of those shows? I see them listed on more than one station here. One is WGN out of Chicago. Maybe they’re all cable stations & you don’t have cable. Hallmark channel, movies & mysteries also have his series of mystery movies on from time to time. I love Tom as well. I love it when he’s on Kelly & Michael. He’s so humble. Whatta hunk!!!
I was over at my friends when the Chew was on & I saw that dessert being made. At one point as they were going to break, that lady’s necklace brushed the meringue. The guy next to her took a rag & was cleaning it off as they broke to commercial. Ooops

Well, I guess we’re gonna have a soggy weekend. Easter should’ve been next weekend. We’re supposed to get up into the low to mid 70s by the middle of the week thru next weekend!!! It figures, since Oregon kids had their spring break this week. It turned out to be a nice day today.
Bernie Sanders was here today(Portland). Thousands turned out to see him. They started lining up before sunrise to see him. He was at the sports arena we have here. It’s odd tho. He was across the Columbia River in Vancouver, Wa. last weekend, then comes back to Portland today. Doesn’t make sense. (and Yes there is a Vancouver, Washington. Just across the river from here. I’ve had people think I was talking about Vancouver, BC in Canada. It’s several hundred miles from here.

HI Ladies,
I was just about to start this when my computer decided to update. So, did it snow a lot? I hope it didn’t. Right now we’re getting a bit of a reprieve from the rain. It’s just showers, not steady rain. It’s supposed to be fairly nice on the weekend. I’ll believe it when I see it.
I had a scare when my Dream Jeannes didn’t show up. I tracked them & it said they were delivered, but I didn’t get them. I tried calling the office & even going down there, & no one was around. About an hour later I get a knock at my door. One of the maintenance guys handed me the bag. I was sooooo relieved. He said it was in the office & he thought I’d be looking for it. I gave him a big hug & told him he made my day!!! They sure are pretty. I love royal blue!!

I never heard of Dept. 56? What is it? I got most of my smaller houses from (ready for it), Dollar Tree. I got my bigger ones from Thomas Kinkade when we had the galleries here in town. I got my décor from QVC, Dollar Tree, local stores, K Mart, Wall Mart, wherever I found em. Oh, how could I forget, Michaels!!! That’s where I got all the artificial flowers. I got it all when I was working. I get a few things, mostly from Dollar Tree here & there.
Did any of you watch ITKWD Sunday? Temp-tations had a new set of dinnerware. They debuted some new patterns in the dinnerware. Floral Lace red with fire works in the pattern, Firework fetti in Old World, FL Ocean with sea shells in the pattern , and Ocean fetti in OW. I hope they come out with smaller items in these new patterns. I don’t need any more bakers!! LOL. And I don’t need a whole set of dinnerware!!!
I have Gourmet Holiday on with Rick & Sharon. He’s such a screw ball!!

I missed out on DWTS last night, I caught the last few minutes of it. Geraldo is gone. I saw a few of the clips on the local morning show. (smh)!!

They sure had some gorgeous things on QF today. I GOTTA win the lottery!!!! I’m sorry you’re having such weird weather. We get snow in the upper elevations, but not down here, this time of yr.
We need it up there tho. We need it for the summer run off, our water supply for the summer. Let me know how you’re doing. Take care.
Colleen, the next Irish programming on the Q will be in Sept., Labor day weekend, maybe???
I better go for now. I’m trying to send a few more of my Christmas décor. I LOVE to decorate!! I missed my calling I guess.

Hi Ladies,
I don’t know if any of you in the Eastern time zone knows this, but there’s a QF show on at 6 pm your time today. You may have gotten an email from QF reminding you of it. I don’t know.
Not much on the Q today. Looks like ladies day again. Chaz Dean & co. is on most of the day. That doesn’t interest me at all. Hair, makeup, jewelry, that kind of stuff doesn’t interest me.
How’s the weather out your way?? Today is lovely here in Portland. I better enjoy it while I can. The rain returns later on & sticks around all week. Not steady rain. Just enough to make it lousy for spring break this week. Very rarely do we have nice sunny days for the kids.

Sue, I’m the newest member of the QF group. If you go to my page you can see the love of my life. LOL.
Well, I gotta get busy & make out my Easter cards. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Hi Ladies,
It worked!!! I don’t believe it. You should see it at Christmas. I call it Christmas-land. People are astounded when they come in & see it. It’s my favorite time of yr.
We can’t have a cranky Quacker, LOL. I hope your feeling better soon.
With all you guys are going thru, I don’t know how ya do it!! There’s nothing harder than being a caregiver. I took care of elderly women in their homes & it was hard. Esp. when they were hard to get along with to begin with. And if the families were hard to get along with, that made it even harder. On the other hand, when the family co-operated & helped share the responsibility it made it a whole lot easier. I realize your situations are different, but caregiving is hard, no matter the situation!!!
So, are the hubbies watching March madness? Two of our Universities got in, but I’m not sure they will get very far. I don’t know who they’re playing. University of Oregon (Ducks) & Oregon State University (Beavers) are the teams. I know you girls don’t care about sports, I was just trying to brag a little bit about our teams.
You girls have very little time for this but I’m gonna ask anyway. Does anybody watch soaps? They’ve canceled all my faves over the past few yrs. I started out watching Dark Shadows when I was in high school. Then I didn’t watch for yrs, & yrs. I got back into it when I was doing the caregiving jobs. I think I could write better story lines than those over paid writers!!!!
This whole bldg. is a soap opera!!!!

Enjoy all the time you have with your parents while ya can. I lost my mom to breast cancer in 1986. I was in my 30s, but it took me yrs to get over it. Well, learn to live without her. It sure wasn’t easy.

I watched some of the Irish shows today. A friend of mine was in Ireland last Sept when they had the Rose of Sharon shows on the Q.. I sent her an email about the Connemara mines. They were there about the same time. How ironic.
If I tried to do that dance I’d die of a heart attack!! It’s fun to watch the kids, though.
Well, that’s enough for now.
