How’s everybody? I hope everyone’s fine. The sun’s out today but it’s far from warm. We get these East winds out of the Gorge & they are COLD!!! No matter
how much you bundle up they cut right thru ya.
I got my new blouse today. LOVE it!!! It’s the red & white checkered blouse from Denim & co. I’d like a couple more, actually. If only I could win a lottery.
I can’t wait to see the new pants coming from QF.
I’m glad you heard from your friend.
I heard you guys are getting snow in the next few days!! WOW. I’d think it’d be done with by now. We’ll get snow in the higher elevations/mts, but not here.
Not much going on here so I’ll close for now.

Hi Colleen,
No worries about getting back to me. I don’t always get back right away as you know. That cake did look delish, didn’t it?! Too much for me alone. I got the meatballs & the mini cheese cakes today. At least I can keep them in the freezer. Unfortunately I have a small freezer.
Have you guys ever driven or rode in a Smart Car? If you thought those other cars are small, they’re big compared to the smart car!!!! A friend of mine has one & it’s tiny!!!! I call it half of a normal size car. I had a Chevy Cavalier & the smart car was half of it. It is NOT a family car!!
Can you send me your email address again. I wrote it down somewhere & have misplaced it. Thanks.
This may sound silly but I don’t read all the postings from the others. I feel like I’m invading someone’s privacy. I know it sounds quirky.

That bright orb I talked about earlier is supposed to stick around till the weekend. I may faint.

Hi Ladies,
Guess what!!! There’s a bright orb in the sky today!!! The day started out cloudy & chilly, but the clouds parted ( like the Red Sea), & the sun appeared. Hoooooray!!! It’s supposed to be sunny the next
few days.
I got the meat balls today. Am tempted to open a pkg, but I don’t want to eat em up before Easter. I know it sounds strange to have meatballs for Easter, but it’s something different. I plan to have asparagus & either mashed potatoes or scalloped potatoes. I’m not really that crazy about ham. It’s usually to salty for me.
Not doing anything for St. Patrick’s Day, except wear green. That’s about all I do.
Are any of you on Facebook? I can’t seem to find my pics that I took the other day. I could see if I can find ones from last yr. The décor is pretty much the same, I think. Except for the Temptations on display.
If I clicked on the right pic, I’m sending another of Jewell with her “new look”. Poooor little thing.
Well, I’m getting hungry so am gonna fix dinner.

Hi Ladies,
How’s everybody today? Not much going on here in Oregon. But I haven’t seen the evening news yet. We’re still having showers, but there is light (sunlight) at the end of the tunnel.
Thurs. the sun’s supposed to show up again. I’ll believe it when I see it!!!
For those who don’t know Hens & chicks are a ground cover. They’re called succulents.(?) To me they look like a cactus. Not like those Az types. If your grandmother had potted plants, I would bet she had these. They take very little care. You can plant them anywhere & they’ll grow. The ones they had on QVC were flowering, in different colors. I never knew they bloomed.
Colleen, That cake you were talking about is the Coconut Bombe cake, I think. It was on the Q the other day. It sure looked good. I think Sweet Endings make it.

I don’t have silliac disease. It has more to do with glucose or blood sugar. Sigh.
I’m gonna try to post my pics of my apt decorated for Easter. I love decorating. It’s fun for me. I should come out & help decorate your homes. You wouldn’t recognize it after I got done. Lol.

Hi Ladies,
Well, I went to the Dr today & we had a good discussion. He’s of the same opinion that I had a severe allergy attack too. He said he’s seen a lot of folks with them. Of course he was telling me what I shouldn’t be eating & I’m sitting there scowling & making faces. The top 5 are potatoes, pasta, bread, rice, & corn. OF course I LOVE ALL OF THEM!!!! My fave come back is “So what’s to live for?”, chuckling. And we can’t leave out the junk food. (toooooooooooooo bad!!!!). Other than that I’m gonna live. He said I seemed in good spirits. I always have some kind of come back for him.
Oh girls, QVC is having another spring garden show Tues. (today for you guys). I watch Phillip Watson whenever I can. I’m crushing on him. At my age who cares!! He always has the prettiest flowers, or trees.

Oh, Chris Pryme is the Lock n Lock lady. She’s a character when she’s on with David. She won the “Golden Spatula” award the Sunday of the Oscars. Last yr she was on with another TSV with the 6 bowls & bags for the holidays. On this one airing, her & David were on & he put one of those bags on his head to show how big they were. He was going on about the bags & how big they were compared to his head & she was almost on the floor laughing so hard. You could hear the stage hands & crew cracking up at them both!

Adele, my biggest weakness is Temptations. I don’t need anymore, but she coming out with more cute things & pretty colors!! I’m gonna try to take some pics of my Easter display & post em on here if I can do it. I have a small set in Oceanfetti that I got last summer, & another baker in spring colors ( lavender hot pink & green) I forget the name of it right now.

PLEASE, PLEASE, please DO NOT GET A FIXER UPPER CAR!!!!! It will nickel & dime ya into bankruptcy & believe me it ain’t nickels or dimes!!!!!! Ya might want a fixer upper in a home but NOT a car!!! Homes are more expensive, I know, but do your research before getting a second hand car. You don;t know where they’ve been, if they’ve been in accidents, floods, heaven knows what. Take it from me!! I speak from past bitter, bitter experience. I got ahold of a car I wanted to drive over a cliff!!! For getting into those tall vehicles, get a step stool & carry it in the back. The last lady I took care of was really short & her daughter had a big rig (SUV) so they carried a small step stool for her to step onto to get in. She was in her 90s so one of us had to help her the rest of the way. Just a suggestion. ( I hope I didn’t make ya grumpy again).

Hi Ladies,
Did I say baseball game? I meant Basketball game. A friend has season tickets to the Portland Trail Blazers & she invites me to go every once in awhile. She splits em up with other people, &when they can’t make it she calls me. One yr I bought one of the packages they offered, but it was too expensive to keep up. It was fun while it lasted. Besides I get a better seat here at home when they televise the games.
Another storm blew thru, but I don’t think it was as bad as they were saying. I don;t think the wind was as bad as they said. Maybe on the coast, but not here.
Oh, the Oregon Ducks are from the University of Oregon. The basketball team was just voted #1 in the Western conference for March Madness. The football team is also good. We don’t have a professional football or baseball team. They’ve tried to get one here, but no luck.
I think I need a QVC intervention!!!! I saw so many things on ITKWD that I wanted, but couldn’t afford. Either that or I need to win a lottery!!! So many pretty things on Carolyn’s show tonight too. Temptations, Lenox, you name it. Lock n Lock, I love it!! I have all the sets of the smallest containers, rectangle sets and the 2 holiday bowl sets w/ the bags.
Perfect for keeping leftovers in. I love Chris Pryme. She is a character. Did you see her “blooper” on ITKWD last winter? She won David’s equivalent to the Oscars not long ago.

Did every body survive the time change? Not me!! It’ll take me a few days to adjust. I do enjoy having the extra daylight in the evening.
I have a Dr’s appointment tomorrow. I have quite a list of things I want to discuss with him.
I guess that’s all for now. Sorry about the confusion.

Hi Ladies,
Happy Saturday all. I’m feeling better. I got prescription strength Claritin & Flonase & a new inhaler. They all worked. Tree pollen is the culprit right now. Pollen is my biggest allergy. I love flowers but they don’t love me. Thank goodness for artificial flowers. When I went to pick up the meds the rain had stopped & was cleared up for awhile. With all the wind & rain it cleared out the pollen.
Sometimes I’ll get a Hyacinth since their season is so short. My nose doesn’t like it but too bad.
They had an air fryer from Chef Emeril last yr but it was too expensive for me. It used one teaspoon of oil or none at all. If ya go to QVC.com they have baking sheets that have holes in them & it lets the air circulate all the way around the food, making it crispy all the way around. Cheaper too. They usually come in sets of two in different colors.

We’re in for another weekend of wind & rain. High wind warnings for all day Sunday. But it means a lot of snow in the mts. We should be thru these storms later this week. I hope.
I debated between the red & blue shirt too. I’ve been a quacker since the 90s. I have a yellow seersucker blouse with big red berries on the front. I have it somewhere. Packed up with my summer stuff no doubt. Can’t wait to see the new jeans. I had a hard time choosing from all the colors, but went with the royal blue. I have a pair of capris in watermelon & a pair of leggings in turquoise. I got them a couple yrs ago. Like I said I need to win a lottery.
Sounds like you all have big families. Are ya having em all for Easter at your homes or are you going to one of their homes? I’m alone so I don’t have any plans right now.
One of the churches may have dinner for us. I’m getting some of those Mama Mancini’s meat balls. If they come in time I may have those for Easter. Along with asparagus,
& either mashed potatoes, or scalloped potatoes. I love to cook but I don’t have anyone to cook for. It’s hard to cook for one. I always make too much, but I save the left overs for another meal or two later on.
Well I guess that’s all for now.
Going to a basketball game tonight.
