Hi Ladies,
Weird things are happening out here with my computer. First of all when I tried to get on the internet this morning nothing happened. Usually that means they’ve shut me off cable or phone when I don’t pay on time. But I wasn’t overdue. I end up calling Comcast & come to find out it was them that was having issues. Not sure what was going on but the recording said the crews were working to get it back on. I asked for a call back when it was fixed & they did. so when I came on here I had to sign in all over again from the beginning. Good ole Comcast/Xfinity!!!! Sooooo maddening!!!
Adele, I hope you got the trees taken out today, with no more damage. Good to hear Gary’s doing well. He should be proud of himself for losing weight, no matter how much. Whew, for just a second I thought I lost this post.
I haven’t heard anything from the cardio rehab yet. I called the Dr. office & they’re supposed to call the rehab place & they’ll call me.
I’m leaving my decorations up till I see signs of spring!!!! I’m willing it to show up!! Like you guys we’re in for a nasty weekend, into next week!! I was going to have Jewell groomed next week, but if it’s gonna be as cold as it sounds, I’ll postpone it till later. I don’t want her shaved off till it gets warmer.
Have any of you ever bought a Harry Slatkin candles? He has a TSV today & they look so realistic.

Hi Ladies,
I hope all of you had a nice Easter, except for the snow. Seriously? Snow on Easter??!! We didn’t have snow but they’re saying the snow levels are coming back down again this week. We may see flakes mixed in with rain later this week. so you’re not the only ones having crazy weather!!! We had a couple nice days, but they didn’t last long. According to one of the weather apps I have they were calling for snow & rain mix today, but I didn’t see any.

I made a pork loin, mashed potatoes, gravy, & steamed asparagus for Easter dinner. I wasn’t sure how to cook a pork loin so I looked it up & I ended up putting some of the barbeque sauce I got from Corky’s on it & put it in the oven. I took a plate down to Kay, & another of our neighbors. Jay had come to my door asking for a cup of sugar last week. then the other evening he brought me a 4 lb bag of sugar. I asked him if he’d like some dinner I told him to go get his plate. So he came back with a big bowl as he broke the plate. Kay sure liked the barbeque sauce on the pork. I took a couple globs of the sauce & a glob of honey mustard, mixed it up then spread it over the meat.
Did you catch the 2 hr QF show today? Lots of pretty tops again. I’d love to get a pair or two of those shorts, but they didn’t have any easy pays on em.
Well, I guess that’s all for tonight.

Hi Ladies,
Just a quick note to wish everyone a Happy Easter & Passover. I’ll be watching the 10 Commandments tonight as usual. I remember back in the 80s ABC decided not to air it at Easter time & the country BLEW UP!!! And this was way before the internet & social media. It’s been on every yr since then.
We’ve had a few nice days, but the rain returns sometime tomorrow. At least the kids had a good day today for their egg hunts. There’ve been yrs when it was soooo muddy they couldn’t have the egg hunts.
Adele, I’ve never heard of any of those things you made. Whatever they are they sure look delish!!! I’ll be right out!! LOL
Gail, I hope those thugs will be caught soon. No one is safe anywhere anymore!!! It’s in the news every night!!
I’m sure you’ve heard about the van that went over a cliff along the Ca. coast. I think it was a suicide. A lot of things are coming out about abuse of the kids & I think the women knew the jig was up, so they drove off the cliff. No skid marks, or anything to show they tried to stop before going off the cliff. It’s a shame the kids were with em when they did it. No word about the other 3 kids yet. They could be anywhere.

Hi Gail,
I;m so sorry to hear about your scare. Just last week, QVC had the RING security system on as the TSV. Have you ever considered getting one. Crooks getting caught by it is on the news almost every night. It looks like your doorbell, but is actually a video camera, And you can see on your phone when someone is approaching your door. You can talk to them no matter where you are. That really scares em off. It’s easy to install & you don’t have to pay those security companies big bucks. Oh and if it’s stolen, they’ll replace it free of charge. By the way, I’m glad I gave you a chuckle about the tiny vampire bite, I have a ‘thing’ about vampires, lol.

Adele, have you tried mashing cauliflour for mashed potatoes? I hear it’s really good. I haven’t tried em yet. Add garlic, or any spices that you like. They sell riced cauliflour in the frozen veggie section, tool. Roast the veggies too. I roast my asparagus in the oven or even saute em on the stove, on low of course. I’m gonna steam em for Easter dinner.
I;m fixing a pork loin for Kay & I, mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus, dinner rolls, don’t know what’s for dessert. she isn’t able to eat nearly what I do since her stomach has shrunk.
It’s been cold out here, but it’s supposed to warm up in the next couple days. Dry for Easter. Again, I’ve heard rumors it’s spring, but I’d like to know where!!!!

Hi Ladies,
I want to thank all of you for your prayers, & words of kindness during my stressful days. I’m just glad it’s over & have good results. It’s amazing what they can do nowadays. They went thru the artery in my wrist over to the heart. The first time they went thru the artery in the groin. I have a couple tiny spots on my wrist that look like I was bitten by a tiny vampire. They told me that if it starts bleeding to put pressure on it & go to the ER since it’s the artery. So far so good. Doesn’t hurt at all. They put a splint on my arm/wrist to keep it immobile. It drove me nuts & I’ve been careful. I have a feeling I’m gonna be going to cardio rehab. Not sure what all it entails, but most likely diet & exercise regimens. OH JOY!! (Does that sound like someone you know, Adele!) LOL

I haven’t read all your posts so I’m gonna have to catch up this week. I did see the pics of your fridge, Gail. I want one tooo!!! But I won’t get one living here. That’s a very nice fridge. Congrats on your purchase.
I’m gonna try to send some pics of the local area around Portland. I didn’t see it but here’s the proof. Unbelievable for this time of yr. This month has been like a pride of lions, instead of coming in like a lion!!
Well, that’s all for now. Oooops, thanks Sue for that cake recipe, sound delish. Did you see the strawberry poke cake on ITKWD today? It sure looked good for a hot summer day. Yummmmmmm

I’m gonna be fine. There’s no blockages, so that;s a very good thing. No stents were needed. But that didn’t answer the question why I’m short of breath, etc. this is short tonight, as I’m dog tired since I’ve been up since 6:20 this morning. I’ll write more later.

By the way you’re not alone in getting weird weather. The National Weather Service sent out alerts that the valley floor could see snow overnight into tomrrow (Sat.)!!! I think it’ll be the absolute latest the valley floor has seen snow this time of yr!! Spring??!

Hi Adele,
Stooooooooop trying so hard to feed this 2yr old!!! Gail had a good idea. Maybe chop up the spinach or get a package of chopped spinach & add to the soup. By co incidence I had chopped spinach last night with some of those pot stickers. the jury is still out on those right now. I’m working on drinking a glass of that 8 greens. I used warm water, but I think it would be better with cold water. I think it tastes like a lemon-lime drink, minus the carbonation.

I heard about a convict that suffered from when he was given the lethal injection & I thought ‘Goood’!!! They had a special on CNN about botched death penalties. I get sooooo angry when these murderers have MORE rights than the victims!!! They go on & on about cruel & unusual punishment for them, but not for the victims!! God won’t care about cruel or unusual punishment when they meet up with Him. He won’t pat them on the head & say poor baby. I was praying that bomber would be taken out either by his own carelessness or something. I may sound hard hearted & cruel, but I’m just fed up!!!!

There’s soooo many cute things on QF today. I gotta win a lottery!!!
Well, I have dishes I need to get to so I’m signing off for now. I’ll keep ya posted on the procedure.

Hi Ladies,
Good news, the antibiotics are working!! I was feeling better even before going to bed last night. I was able to sleep the wheezing was all but gone, so no coughing all night. I slept like a baby. I felt so much better this morning it was like the difference between night & day!! I still have a cough but it isn’t nearly as bad as it was!!!
Adele, I would love to have some of your homemade chicken noodle soup. I’ve made some in the past but I don’t have some of the ingredients. sigh. I hope your soup works on Gary. I hope he likes it. It’s so discouraging when people don’t like what you fix for them.
( I know you’re not making chicken soup for him). Set a place for me at your Easter table, I’ll hop on my bunny broom & make my way out. lol
I got my order of pot stickers today. I think I’ll try a few tonight. They had so many things on Gourmet Holiday shows this week I could easily go broke if I ordered any. they always look soooo good on the TV screen. Esp. the desserts, & Heaven help me the lobsters!!!! Oh if only I could reach thru the screen & grab a few. lol
Say, I’ve noticed the past couple of posts I’ve written & sent, when it pops up, I notice there’s still my post in the block, even tho, it’s been sent & appears as sent. It’s weird.
We may have had a couple of nice days but the rain has returned. They say the snow will be returning as well by the weekend. I won’t see any, but I’ll see it in the surrounding foothills which is fine with me. It’ll be cold tho. Did somebody say it’s spring?? I’d like to know WHERE???!!!

Hi Adele,
Barbara has some wonderful ideas for you. I have a couple, you need to get her off her hinny. Look into a piece of egg crate foam. It allows air to flow around that area. Or get foam donut. Google medical supplies & see what they have. I was asking Diane today where she found her mother’s things, & she said Goodwill!! She finds all kinds of things like that at Goodwill. She had one of those tall toilet seats she put on her toilet so she didn’t have to go down so far. It sits about 3-4 inches on top of the toilet seat. Diane’s mother, Arline was in her 90s when I went to work for her. She had just turned 99 when she passed away. She was quite a handful let me tell ya!!!
I called the cardiologist’s office today, & the nurse told me I needed to get some antibiotics from my primary Dr. Luckily he had an opening late this afternoon so I was able to see him today. He gave me some antibiotics, so I should be better by Friday.
I coughed so much last night my ribs hurt today. I told the Dr. but he didn’t prescribe any cough syrup.
My poor nose is so red & sore. I hope it heals fast.
