I was able to find Jim Shore’s schedule. He’ll be on 7/22 at 5pm-6pm ( the live audience show) & 7/31 at 3pm-4pm ET. I made sure it is ET for both shows.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. We’re having lovely weather. I wish I could share it with all of you. It’s in the 70s with white puffy clouds. No heat wave in sight.
I hurt myself the other day trying to get the apt in some kind of livability till Aug. 1st. I hurt my right shoulder & now I feel it in my upper back as well. I’ll probably have to go to the Dr. this week. I did call an on call nurse & she told me to ice it & take Tylenol in the mean time.
If it isn’t one thing it’s another!!
I watched ITKWD today with Mary. Something must’ve happened cause when he was on yesterday he said he’d be on ITKWD. And they didn’t wish him well wishes to feel better if he was under the weather. Makes me wonder if something happened.

Did anyone catch Jim Shore last night? He had a lot of cute things. He’s gonna be on a couple more times throughout July for CIJ. On July 22nd, he’s on Q2 with a live audience (first time ever he’s ever done a live audience show). Didn’t catch the time but it must be during the day for a live audience. If I catch the times he’s gonna be on I’ll be sure to pass it along.

I have Antonella on CIJ shows this afternoon. There were several things I’d love to get but I DON’T need another thing!!! I have more than enough as it is. LOL
Thank you for all your prayers & support in this mess I’m in. I did put out a few items from some of the tubs. Just to make it look like home again. It’ll be a quick put back for the nest spray in Aug. I was beginning to panic when I noticed my rent check hadn’t cleared the bank yet earlier in the week. but since the holiday screwed up everything, since most of the office was out on vacation that week, that’s what the delay was. It did clear last night. I keep a close eye on my bank account.
Colleen, how is your eye doing? Are you still sensitive to the light? I can’t wait to hear about how much better you can see once they’re healed up.Oh, I forgot, about the bed, it has to be in writing. It does say if you plan to get rid of anything let the office know & they’ll make arrangements, which I did & they did!! I think she just wants to show me who’s boss, & throw her weight around.
I don’t watch AGT, but that was terrible about the performer getting killed in an accident. very sad indeed.Adele, I think I’m having sympathy pains with you. I woke up this morning & my right shoulder was killing me. I don’t know what I did, but it hurts like crazy.
I see where Jim Shore will be on 10 pm West coast time Sat. night, so I guess that’s 1am ET Sunday am. He does make the most unique carvings. I love unusual things. He’s always on in the wee hrs of the morning so I don’t get a chance to see him. It’ll be fun to see what he’s come up with for Christmas.
David is on with his choice for Christmas décor tomorrow. Then Sunday is all food on ITKWD.
Oh, I called customer service about the cookies & I’ll get my $ back. It’s kind of unusual for me to call in for a refund on food. I did get all my QF & Denim & co shirts yesterday. They sent me 2 of the D&C shirts tho.
Well, I guess I better get off here & fix dinner.

Well, I FINALLY got sprayed for bedbugs yesterday!! Here I was all ready for them to come & nobody shows up by noon. So after lunch hr & went down to the office & here she was, doing nothing. I say “Well, I’m waiting.” She looks like I just got off a space ship. “Waiting for what?. She’s the one who made the date for the treatment. Doesn’t anyone do their job anymore??? She said she had other inspections that day. Then the manager popped up & said we’re scheduled from 8-4. Well, if they spray that late in the day that means I couldn’t get back in for 4-5 hrs!!!! I blew up!! I had left Jewell over Critts so she’d be out of the way. Well, the bug lady showed up at 2 pm & threw a fit when she saw a different bed. she said I wasn’t supposed to remove the other bed or bring in a new one. BUT it’s NO where in the prep sheet does it say that. It was THEIR people who came & got the OLD bed, & brought in the new one!!!
Anyway, I have another date for Aug. 1st. We’ll see what happens then. I;m not unpacking anything so I’ll be living out of bags till then. No use unpacking only to have to repack later on.Adele, I’m sorry Steph didn’t pass her test. I do find it interesting that they had to drive so far away to take the test. Why wouldn’t the local DMV do the test? she needs to do more practicing driving & get more confident behind the wheel. I had Godzilla for my driving test!! When she got done testing you, you knew how to drive!! I got lucky & passed.
I can’t wait to see the CIJ shows this weekend. Maybe it’ll take my mind off what’s going on here. I’m afraid I’ll be evicted. This management group is the worst we’ve ever had. We’ve had bad ones before, but these are the worst. Please keep me in your prayers!!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! I was in the middle of my post when it disappeared. here we go again!!
Anyway, Thank you for your kind words about my friend. I have to clarify something tho.. It wasn’t Kay. This was Maria that passed away. I knew her before I knew Kay. Maria had always had issues with her feet. Her toes curled under her feet, so she had a hard time walking. She had surgery to correct it but it wasn’t successful. I’m not sure what her issue was with her legs at the end. All I know is there was an infection & she didn’t take care of it. she had a lot of health issues. I haven’t heard anything about a service or memorial for her yet. If we do have one it’ll probably be here in the community room.Adele, are you saying you’d never made a cake from a cake mix? I wouldn’t begin to know where to begin making one from scratch. My grandma used to make the BEST baking powder biscuits they’d almost float off the pan. Mine could put a dent or hole in a cement floor. The same could be said if I made a cake from scratch it’d be a block of cement! I wish I could. You guys got plenty of practice with your families, where I didn’t. Oh, as for the potato salad, if I’m feeling lazy, I use dill relish instead of pickles. Sometimes I forget to get a jar of pickles so I substitute.
That must’ve been scary to find a tick on your grand. Have you considered getting one of those bug traps they sell on the Q? It’s not a zapper or use chemicals to kill the critters. They kill mosquitoes, ticks, hornets, flies, & they can’t get out.
How do you hurt your shoulder doing PT for your ankle? So I guess this means back to PT for the shoulder? I’m SORRY you hurt yourself.
I should be getting my new QF shirts this week.
I’m ready for them to come in & spray tomorrow, I hope!! It’s been a month I think. I just have to take Jewell over to Crit’s. He teases me about Crock pot kitty. He knows I’ll take one or both of meat cleavers to him if he did!!! LOL

It’s with sadness that I write tonight. One of my neighbors passed away earlier this week. I hadn’t seen her in quite awhile but that wasn’t too unusual. I didn’t think much of it. She had issues with her feet & legs & she developed an infection in her legs & that’s what took her life. I haven’t heard anything yet about a memorial for her. I used to save the crossword puzzles from the Sunday paper.I could use Pablo on my private island…lol
We had clouds & cooler temps today. I didn’t mind it, it was a relief from the heat. Not that it was that hot, but the firefighters need the cooler temps & clouds. Ca. is the place that could use the cooler temps!!!Adele, when I saw you got DD coffee I thought WHAT??? I realized you meant Dunkin Doughnuts. I don’t drink coffee, but I’ve heard they make great coffee. I wonder what they put in it that makes it so good??
As for the potato salad, I dice up the boiled potatoes, add onion, (green or yellow) diced, diced hard boiled eggs, diced small dill pickles, (add abit of the pickle juice to taste. Mix well, add mayo or salad dressing(Miracle Whip) mix well. add pepper to taste. It’s my mom’s & grandmother’s recipe. It’s even better the next day, just like most leftovers. Oh, I boil the potatoes in their skins. I drain em well, let them sit out a while, then put em in the fridge to get cool.
I’ve been meaning to ask you guys, have any of you tried Jimmy the baker food items on the Q? I got the melt in your mouth chocolate chip melt aways.
NOT impressed at all!!! I was disappointed in em.I also tried those mini croissants & they’re delish!!! They sell out really fast.

Sounds like everyone had a nice 4th. I had Critt over for burgers & had a good time. I fixed potato salad, had left over jello & baked beans, & potato chips. He took a container of the potato salad home with him. He really liked it. I watched some of the fireworks from my windows, and some on the TV. Jewell got a little scared when some of the big loud ones went off. I don’t remember her being that scared before. It could be she’s still jittery from all the hub bub going on in here.
Still no spraying. I thought for sure they’d do it today, but no one was in the office today. They had a 5 day weekend. Must be nice. I want to get it done & over with so I can get back to some normalcy.
Did any of you get in on any of the clearance sales on the Q? I got a yellow floral blouse from Denim & co, a red/white striped top with lady bugs from QF, & a bill fold with RFID protection. Got all with 4 easy pays. They called it a mid-yr clearance. Gettitng rid of all the summer things.
The local Blues Festival I spoke about earlier made $1.2 million for the Oregon food bank. that’s the most ever!!! A huge success to say the least!
I remember Debbie, she used to send me birthday wishes, but that was looooong ago, before I figured how to get on here. I haven’t heard from her in quite some time.
We’re heating up again. We hit 90 today but should be abit cooler the rest of the week, in the mid 80s.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but yesterday seemed like Sunday all day.
