Hi Adele,
That was a close game last night. From what I heard a lot of NE people still like Brady. Really on any sports team you can be traded away at any time so I don’t see how someone could be a traitor. The Cubs traded away my three favorite players this year and I don’t consider them traitors-it comes with the territory.
I just found out today that QVC is closing down their forums Nov. 2. As you can imagine a lot of us are very upset. And it’s different over there because we are all anonymous and you aren’t allowed to trade emails like you can here so when they shut down everyone will lose track of each other. I don’t post much, I usually just read so I don’t have many close contacts but i will miss the people from the soap forum and the reading forum. One lady there posts pictures of her beautiful gardens each year. And I look forward to seeing those.
I guess they want all the people to go over to their new Facebook place but many of us are not on Facebook and don’t want to be on it.
It’s funny because Facebook is down today for some reason.
It’s cooled down some and it’s rainy but it’s still in the 70s so we continue to have pretty nice weather.
I wonder if they will ever shut this forum down especially since we are the only ones that use it. At least we can all still keep in touch.
How are you feeling? How is your stomach? Better I hope.
Gailin reply to: Quacker Chat for October 2021 #134704Colleen,
I do understand but remember we are always here if you need us. Sometimes it’s nice to just chat to relieve some of the stress and sadness. We will continue saying prayers.
Gailin reply to: Quacker Chat for September 2021 #134624I’m starting another discussion page for October. I will see you all there.
Gailin reply to: Quacker Chat for September 2021 #134585Colleen,
I am so sorry to hear about your brother. Prayers are being sent.
Hugs to you and your family.
Gailin reply to: Quacker Chat for September 2021 #134471Hi Adele,
Greys doesn’t start until this week. Do you watch Station 19 too? I don’t even though there seems to be a lot of cross over stories with Grey’s and them I don’t feel like I’ve missed anything by not watching as i can still follow the story lines.
yes, that’s probably why I don’t like Meredith-I can never unforget the time when she was whining to Mc Dreamy pick me chose me-I thought that was very un 21st century woman. lol I felt like she put women’s lib back 30 years by doing that. Also she is kind of a self righteous know it all.
I wonder if she will have a romance with the Irish doctor now that DeLucca is gone even though i never expected that she and DeLucca would last anyway.
If doctor’s keep leaving the show they will have a shortage. lol
I hope Maggie and her husband stay together without a lot of drama and angst. Especially since it looks like Amelia and Linc might split. I’ve always liked Amelia but she is sure self destructive-she needs to get out of her own way. I actually liked Amelia and Qwen together even though I knew it wouldn’t work-not crazy about Owen’s present love Teddi especially after she and Koracik were doing the deed while Owen was waiting for her to show up for their wedding.
Did you say that you had heard from Colleen? I was wondering because she has not been on here for awhile.
I hope that you are feeling better.
Gailin reply to: Quacker Chat for September 2021 #134430Hi Adele,
We watched the Goldbergs-it’s one of Greg’s favorite shows. I think that was a well done tribute to George Segal. I loved him on that show. I’m glad it was cathartic for you. Do you watch The Connors? It just seems that show has become depressing rather than funny anymore.
Gray’s Anatomy comes back this week I think. I wonder how much longer that will last as a lot of people seem to be leaving. I think I just keep watching now because i watched from the very start just like with ER but I’m not even sure if I like it that much anymore. Meredith was never my favorite and of course she’s the main character. I know they do a lot of crossover shows with Station 19 which I don’t watch but I don’t really feel like I’ve missed anything because of it-I can still follow Gray’s just fine.
Do you watch any of those Halloween baking shows on Food network? I like to watch those and see the different cakes that they make. They have started already.
Have a good weekend. The weather is supposed to warm up again after tomorrow.
The White Sox have won their division championship. Greg is happy since he’s from the south side and a Sox fan-the kids and I are Cubs fans-but we will all root for the Sox as it is a Chicago team.
Gailin reply to: Quacker Chat for September 2021 #134425Hi DD,
I’m so glad that Hallie is feeling better. That must have been very scary. Thanks for the info on the upcoming shows.
It was in the mid forties here this morning. Getting chilly!
Gailin reply to: Quacker Chat for September 2021 #134334Hi Adele,
What is the ulcer medication that makes you pee? I am already up several times a night doing that without a pill. lol
I have not heard from Colleen recently either.
Hopefully as time goes by and you heal you can slowly add a variety of foods back into your diet. I know you said the nurse said it was life long but eventually ulcers heal-naturally they want you to be careful and I know that you will be.
How did you like DWTS last night. Obviously Tyra did not improve or change. Greg kept saying what an ugly outfit she had on and I said she was dressed like a mirror ball. lol She is just really bad. I kind of just try to skip over her parts. I felt bad for the Kobra kai guy-he just kind of stood there while his partner danced around him.
Gailin reply to: Quacker Chat for September 2021 #134329Hi DD,
I’m so sorry to hear about Hallie. I will be praying for her.
The show yesterday was good. I have always liked Angel. However, I just don’t think Quacker is as popular as it was years ago.
They are not on the main channel nearly as much as they used to be. But Jeanne came on 25 years ago and styles do change.
We are getting cooler here now-upper 60’s for day time and upper 40’s at night.
I enjoy the Christmas decorating shows but wish they had more fall decorating too. I do like Valerie. She’s always so calm.
