    Hi Adele,
How is it going with the talking remote? That sounds kind of intriguing to me. Of course if I couldn’t figure it out I would probably be talking back to it and telling it if it was so smart why isn’t it just doing things itself. It would be even smarter if the remote took voice commands. We don’t get xfinity out here. At least not out in the country. The teeth cleaning went well. They didn’t find anything which is always a relief since I seem to have inherited both my parents bad gums. That’s why i go back every three months instead of six for my cleanings.
I’m not sure what we’ll do in the basement. Greg says it seems like the floor in the recording studio might be okay-he says it seems like the water ran right across it and out into the rest of the basement. He already got the rug out of the bedroom. The bathroom has ceramic and the main part has cork flooring. I think maybe we will redo the cork as it is low maintenance and maybe put it in the bedroom instead of carpet and just put throw rugs next to and at the foot of the bed. I’m really not sure yet. It depends what Greg wants to do also since he’ll be doing the work. Except for the bedroom and bathroom down there he decided on what was done in the main room and the music room. At least none of his instruments or the recording equipment got wet as they were all up off the floor. I think he would have been crying if his guitars got ruined.
I hope that you are not still dizzy. I never knew where the name Aizen came from-being an old hippie chick I love the meaning behind it. Peace and Love-what could be better?
I don’t know what’s up with me-I must think it’s holiday time or something. Yesterday we had ham, cauliflower and sweet potatoes for dinner and today we are having turkey breast, 7 layer salad and stuffing. And we will then have leftovers for the next several days. lol But this all seems like holiday food to me-so i must be in a holiday mood. lol

    Hi Colleen,
I’m so glad that the ultrasound showed nothing on the kidney. Hooray! It’s good to have all those prayers coming your way.
I’m glad that Melissa is away from the rain in Texas. It is a good idea to research if any of the roads are closed though before they come back in case they have to change their route. I know one year coming back from Kansas City there was flooding in Iowa and we had to take a long detour.
Were those chairs that Ron found Adirondack chairs? I love those and they are expensive so if you got some for free that is a great find.
Once again I’m so relieved with your good news from the doctor. She seems like she will be a good one.

    Hi Dianne,
Those Thomas Kincade cottages all look so inviting-like you could walk right in a be welcomed by the inhabitants. I like the oceanfetti but I don’t know what the fireworksfetti looks like. I’m assuming red white and blue maybe?

    Hi Colleen,
You’re welcome for the prayers. We all want you to feel good and get a clean bill of health. Did you ever crack a rib when you fell-maybe that’s where those calcium deposits came from. Anyway, I’m glad that was nothing serious. Sometimes they really do press hard for those ultrasounds-but I would still rather have one of those tests than many of the other ones that they have. When I have had those I always see people trying to drink down some kind of giant glasses of things and they look none too happy about it-so whatever tests that those people are having look like they could be pretty miserable. Why are so many of the medical tests so miserable? They need to invent a magic scanner.
There was a lot of low scores on DWTS last night. It was funny how Max was in agreement with Len so many times last night. I’m not sure I care that much for the switch up. I’m not sure what it accomplishes or is supposed to accomplish. And then I was surprised that there was no elimination. I guess because they don’t want to place too much emphasis on the switch up scores. I am still amazed by Niall the deaf man-I can’t understand how he dances so well without hearing the music.
We do have a shop vac and Greg used that to clean up a lot of the water. There is a rug in the bedroom and he had to cut it into pieces to get it out of there as there was no way that we could lift the bed to get it out. Even pieces of a soaked rug are very heavy.
I did used to watch Rosie when she had her own show. She was funny back then but not so much anymore. I don’t know what she did to Tom Selleck. I either didn’t see it or forgot about it.
I just got an e-mail from Brent yesterday. Things are good.
I saw the beginning of The Chew when they started out the fried green tomato and bacon recipe but i missed the end when they cooked it and put it all together. I thought that was quite a coincidence too as we all had been talking about fried green tomatoes.
I see you found the reading discussion. I have a few books to post on there too.

    Hi Barbara,
We can get pretty warm here in the summer and also high humidity. But the difference between here and the south is that it’s not that sustained heat and humidity. When my parents lived in Louisiana sometimes it seemed like the air just dripped humidity. I hope someday that you do get to come up north and see the fall colors. A crisp sunny fall day walking through the crackling leaves is a special time.
I have never read any of the Bill O’Reilly books but I have heard that they are all pretty interesting reads.
I love reading to the kids too. I still have many of Jenny and Brent’s children’s books that I am slowly bringing over for Jenny’s kids. I used to take the kids to story hour and summer reading club at the library and now Jenny does that with her kids too.

    Hi Adele,
That’s funny about 50 Shades-Great minds think alike! – or maybe dirty minds think alike. lol
I have a teeth cleaning later today. I hope that all goes well. For some reason I thought it was on Thursday so it’s a good thing they called with a reminder.
The sweet potato encrusted cod sounds interesting. I say that you should always follow a healthy meal with a decadent dessert. lol
We had three days of low 80’s and now it’s back to low 60’s so maybe that weather is coming your way. We often go from winter straight to summer around here too. We’re supposed to have rain the next few days now.
Yesterday when I was babysitting Piper told me “I love rainbows they are just so beautiful!” Now I’m wondering has she ever even seen a real rainbow. I like when she tells us ” I’m a good singer.” or ” I’m a good dancer.” No lack of self esteem there! lol
I hope that you guys are getting the new cable system figured out. That always makes for a confusing few days. Sometimes technology just moves so fast-it’s hard to keep up with it all-except if you are ten years old. lol

    Hi Everyone,
I hope that this will post-now you guys have me worried.
Barbara, what will you and Jerry be reading in bed? 50 Shades of Gray? lol I am kidding-you know I am always interested in what books everyone is reading. Sometimes it’s hard to pick a book that both Greg and I would like so that made me wonder what you will be reading. I only wish that Greg would let me watch TV in bed at night. I could run the TV all night-it helps me sleep but he doesn’t like it on when he is sleeping. I finally convinced him to let me play music at night-at least there is something to listen to when I am lying there wide awake with my eyes open. I’m glad that the move went well and that you at least didn’t cry until they left. (I know that you did). I think all young mothers think that they know exactly what they are going to do until the baby actually comes and then they realize that they have to do what works best and the rule books go out the window. I know that you and Jerry will give this new little baby tons of love.
Colleen, I’m not sure what they can do for the abdominal migraines-they will not decide that’s what they are until they can rule everything else out. Rosie O’Donnel was okay the first time that she was on the View-she was still funny-but the second time she was just mad and mean and strident-I think she has a lot of issues. It probably does remind you of Ron’s news shows and that’s why you don’t care for it. What a nice surprise that he took you out to dinner Saturday-and Mandy cooked dinner on Friday. I love a weekend without cooking. Good luck on your tests today. I hope that they all turn out well. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we are sending hugs your way.
Dianne, the modern cartoons aren’t as good as the old Looney tunes and such. However, many of the modern children’s animated movies are quite good.
Adele, we had really nice summer like weather this weekend. How was your dinner out? The occular migraines are really not that bad-mostly a minor inconvenience for a half hour. Sometimes my head will hurt later on and sometimes not. We have a mess here. Greg was power washing the boat yesterday and he used the spigot at the front of the house. Later on I kept telling him I was hearing a noise like water running in that front corner of the house. At first it was like I was crazy and then he finally went and looked in the basement and it was flooded. You are supposed to disconnect the hose during the winter and I guess he didn’t and a pipe broke when he turned the water on. He said he knew he should have checked when he started the water and saw he hadn’t disconnected it but he didn’t. So there is water all over. He vacuumed it all up but now the rug in the bedroom and all the cork tiles have to come out and be thrown away and we have to go through all the boxes and find out what is salvageable and what isn’t and then clean really good with bleach to avoid getting mold down there. Talk about a mess. I know he is mad that it happened but also just mad at himself for not checking earlier. It’s always something! I will be praying for a safe Boston Marathon today. Looks like they are having nice weather.

I’m not sure what is going on. I posted to Dianne earlier and you now with no problem. Maybe you are having WiFi issues? Was the xfinity guy earlier in the week something to do with your WiFi?

    Hi Adele,
I don’t know what’s wrong. All I see is the post to me asking if I see anything which I don’t. Now those posts are circling around out in cyberspace. I hate when I type a long answer and it disappears-especially as I am a hunt and peck typist so it takes me awhile. I see the post to Dianne. Maybe God doesn’t want you talking to me today. BooHoo!
