    Hi Colleen,
I love lobster too. I hope you can go back and get some more and keep them in your freezer if they are not all sold out. That was a great deal.
I have not worn heels for years-so I don’t miss them at all. I don’t even know how those people walk in those 5 inch ones.
The houses we are looking at are open houses where people are living in them. See the post to Adele for the full explanation. Gosh before we built this house we walked through hundreds of model homes to get the feel of the things and the space that we really wanted. I loved building and picking everything out. I would do that again if the opportunity ever presented itself. It was lots of fun. That’s when there was a building boom and there were models to walk through. You don’t see that much anymore since the housing market crashed.
Was Kylie in the play that you were supposed to see. Which play was it? I’m sure she’ll understand if you missed it. I hope that Ron is feeling better today. I hope we won’t run into more snow in Wisconsin today. I think parts of it had quite a bit.

    Hi Dianne,
Yes they can change the site without warning. I think they change it to try and draw more people into the site. Tiago works on it and also Jeanne’s grandson James. they did warn us ahead of time when they changed the whole thing a year and a half ago. We were afraid we would lose our discussions since so few people participate anymore but they did keep them but you never know for how long they will do that. I wish that we could post our own videos like before. I miss that.

    Hello Dear Barbara,
    Welcome back!
I’m glad that Sarah is feeling well. When is the due date again. Your life will change when the little one comes and you’ll wonder how you ever lived without him or her.
You will be sad for a little bit when they move out but then you will be glad to have your privacy back again.
I’m glad Jerry’s Mom is doing better. He has been really busy with her and is a good son.
Glad that you had your phone when you fell. It’s a scary feeling not to be able to get back up.
We missed you and are looking forward to hearing more of your adventures. Get any good Quacker lately.

    Hi Adele,
You are so right about Piper wanting to upstage Kendall. I think she didn’t like so much that everyone was looking at Kendall instead of her. lol So she had to figure out a way to get in on the act. Believe me she probably was put out not getting to go on that shopping trip. What a diva!
I think that tank and cardigan that you got for Tillie is so pretty but for some reason I have never gotten it. I think because they tend to show it in the spring and by this time of year I don’t want to be thinking about buying sweaters and for me that would be winter wear. I don’t wear sweaters in summer.
I wonder if one of the reasons that Tillie doesn’t like the brace is because she has to wear shoes with it and it is just much more comfy to wear the slippers. I know that’s another reason that I don’t like my brace. When i am home and I sit down I always just kick off my shoes and often curl my legs up on the couch. When I have the brace on I can’t do that-so it is just not comfy. Just a thought.
Here’s the deal with looking at the lake houses. Greg has always wanted a lake summer home as he loves fishing. We had the opportunity years ago to buy my parents lake house in northern Wisconsin but it was right after we got married and basically we had no money so we had to take a pass. So we have our boat and Greg doesn’t like putting it in and taking out of the water every time so the last few years we rented a slip and kept it in the water all summer. But he still has this idea that he would like a lake house and that Jenny, Adam and the kids could make use of it too. So he has been looking online for the last few years. We don’t want it too far up north as the drive is too long. There are some nice lakes closer but many are good for fishing and not for swimming and he knows if it’s not good swimming it’s a definite no from me and the kids would not use it either. So we have this constant back and forth. Basically, I think it’s just a really expensive way to find a place to park the boat. lol I can no longer take care of the house that we have let alone a second home. Now if we had a smaller home here maybe i might say yes but he is no way ready to downsize and give up the pond and the putting green and driving range so we are kind of at an impasse. Although I wouldn’t want to give up the land either as I like the privacy but the house is getting to feel too big.So this is just kind of an excursion so that he can see if this is even something that he would really want to do. I doubt very much that this would ever happen for real at this stage in our lives.

    Colleen,
When you are on the Quacker home page go over to Be social and click. A menu will appear and click on Quacker social-then scroll down the page and the birthdays are down there on the right hand side like they were before. Hope you can find them. If you can’t I will try to explain it better.

    Hi everyone,
I hope Sue’s explanation helped everyone to find things. I didn’t even realize all the changes have happened. We are getting strong winds here too. And the snow stops and starts but at least there hasn’t been any accumulation yet. I hope there won’t be. We are going tomorrow to look at some open houses up by a lake in Wisconsin just to get out for the day. I am taking Rocky to the dog sitters for a day of doggie daycare. Otherwise I worry about leaving him for more than a few hours. This way he will be with Sharon and have company and someone to keep an eye on him. I know I overprotect him but he is the last of our dogs and will be 17 the end of May so I think he deserves special attention. It’s worth it for our peace of mind to pay someone to watch him for the day. That way we can relax knowing that he is being taken good care of.
Adele, that growing thing sounds neat. I’ll bet JJ will enjoy watching that. It sounds like things are progressing with Gary. I’ll bet you’ll be glad when he can totally care for himself again. As to Tillie and the brace-I get it. I don’t mind wearing it and having people think I’m an invalid. I have no more pride. lol I just don’t like putting it on period. It’s the struggling to get it into the shoe and having to wear tie shoes with it that’s the problem. I’m sweating by the time I’m done with it all. When one is a chubbo it’s hard bending over to get the shoes on and get them tied. Also I like wearing sandals in the summer so I have a system now that I only wear it if i am going someplace where I am doing a lot of walking. If I am not walking a lot I just wear whatever shoes that I want to-usually something that slips on. The guy that made the brace told me he was shocked when a woman cried when she had to wear one-I was shocked that he was shocked about her crying-he must not know women at all. We all like cute shoes not a big clunky old brace in a big clunky old shoe. Of course she was upset. I just did my crying in private. lol
Dianne, that oceanfetti is a beautiful color. I am always drawn to turquoises. I probably shouldn’t mention this if it’s a temptation but this weekend everything is on six easy pays when you use a Q card. I hope i haven’t been an instrument of temptation. lol I think Adele is allergic to shellfish so that’s probably why she didn’t know about prawns. I glad that I don’t have a seafood allergy since I love all the shellfish! Delicious!
Colleen, isn’t it funny how we can have nothing to do for weeks and then one weekend there will be a bunch of stuff. I hope that you get to do everything.
I think a lot of times nowadays they have the visitation with the memorial service right afterwards. I can remember years ago when there would be a two day wake and the funeral Mass the following day and then the journey out to the cemetery followed by a big luncheon. That made for a very long week.
Last night when we over to Jenny’s Kendall put on a fashion show for us and modeled all the new clothes she got with her Grandma. She was really proud of herself, She definitely has her own sense of style and puts things together in the cutest way. Of course not to be outdone then Piper had to model things-like old worn out bathing suits that she would have on sideways-or shirts on her head-or underpants with socks on her hands. I guess she has her own individual sense of style too-except that it is semi-nudist! lol We have more fun with those kids! Greg is over there today helping Adam work on making the basement into a family room. It will be nice when they get it done.

Thank You so much Sue. I didn’t even know all these changes had happened. They like to keep us hopping! Just when we get used to something one way they go ahead and change things again! lol Such is life!
Talk about April Fools-I woke up this morning and looked out the window and lo and behold everything was white-so look it-it’s probably coming your way.

    Hi Colleen,
I am sorry to hear about Ethan’s grandfather. I will say a prayer for both him and Ethan. It doesn’t surprise me that Kaylee was relatively unaffected. She is still pretty young and the concept of someone dying is not really on their radar yet. When Kim died, Kendall and Lachlan did not really understand what happened either. I think Jenny just told them that she went to heaven and we wouldn’t be able to see her anymore and that Uncle Brent would be very sad. That’s about all you can do as you don’t want them to dwell on it either. I hope Ethan won’t be too sad. I will pray for him.
You are right-I guess it is more fun to buy guitars and boats than plants. lol
I don’t imagine that we will have to start cutting grass until May. It’s supposed to be really cold here again by Monday morning. We get a little taste of warmer weather and then it disappears. April is the teasing month and then it seems like we go directly from cold to hot. We had a lot of rain yesterday-it really poured at times and then the temperature dropped about 20 degrees.
I hope that you will like this new doctor a lot and that she will help you. And take another look at that kidney scan just to be sure everything checks out okay. At least you won’t have to go to that stupid doctor anymore-good riddance to him.
Have a good weekend. I hope we all do something fun!

    Hi All,
It’s April already so I am starting a new discussion page. This one snuck up on me. Dianne, we start a new discussion each month so come over there to join the new discussion. After a month this one gets too long so I start a new one each month.
Adele, don’t forget to check the box so that you get the notifications. lol
See you all over at the April discussion.
    Gail
