The last time I made a Lovely Lavender Sugar Scrub, it was for Christmas gifts for our Quacker team. This time I wanted to honor our model & my good friend Andrea with a special gift for her birthday.
Knowing her as well as I do, I knew that she loves lavender. So, the search began for the right recipe to make a sugar scrub that would work nicely in the cold weather & also be relaxing with the wonderful smell of lavender. I think I hit the nail on the head. Here is what I found.
Lovely Lavender Sugar Scrub
- ½ cup coconut oil
- 1 cup white sugar
- 10 drops of lavender essential oil
I tripled the ingredients and made two small jars of this scrub. In my Kitchen Aid, I mixed the coconut oil & the sugar until it was blended well. Then I added the oil, okay maybe I added a few more than 10 drops, but use the oil to your liking.
I placed the scrub in the jars & wrapped it with a pretty ribbon & made a jar topper with some lavender card stock. Whola—a beautiful gift for a beautiful friend!
