• SMILE—smile at your friends, your family, your neighbors. Smile at people you don’t even know.

• SING—Sing in the house, in the car and in the shower. Sing loud and out of tune. Fake the lyrics you don’t know. Hold your invisible microphone and look at your invisible audience, and bow deeply when they burst into applause!

• DANCE—Dance around the room, with a broomstick or a pillow, and hold it close for slow songs. Twirl a lot. Finish big, with something no one expected!

• AVOID THE NEWS—This is really important to do from time to time. If you’ve had a rough day at work and turn on the news, you’re usually more miserable than before! Just switch the channel to a cartoon or sitcom.

• GIGGLE—Giggle, snort, snicker, chuckle. Laugh out loud; laugh so hard your lungs hurt. Maybe even pee in your pants a little! You start to cry you’re so HAPPY!

• SAY NO —Let someone else take care of it for a change. Be nice, but be firm, and do what’s right for you, not what you’ve been expected to do. Know when enough is enough.

• GIVE BACK—Give a few dollars to charity or a few minutes to a friend who needs it. Give what you can, not what you’re told to. Give because you want to. People who give little gifts are almost always happier than when they receive a gift

• COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS—What’s happened just today that you have to be grateful for? Who do you know that helped you when you needed it? What do you do really well? Thank God for it all.

• LEARN SOMETHING NEW—Read a book, take up a new hobby or join a club. Take a new road home, or rediscover a road you haven’t been down in years.

• WATCH A FAVORITE MOVIE—Maybe it’s one that makes you laugh, or makes you cry (but only because it’s THAT good.) Or one that makes you remember the past or forget where you are, or think about the possibilities.
